EA FC 24: Top 10 Teams Prediction

Date:

The highly anticipated release of EA FC 24 is on the horizon. Electronic Arts did not reveal the team ratings yet, fueling speculation about the teams that will dominate the virtual pitch in the FIFA 23 successor. While the game’s launch is rumored to take place in September, it’s essential to keep in mind that the European transfer window is now in full swing, which could potentially reshape team dynamics in the coming weeks. Bearing this in mind, we present our predictions for the top 10 teams in EA FC 24, based on their current squads.

10. Manchester United

  • Overall: 82
  • Attack: 81
  • Midfield: 84
  • Defense: 81

Manchester United have been a shadow of their dominant past ever since Sir Alex Ferguson. The Red Devils showed promise, however, following the appointment of former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag. Even though they were one of the worst teams on the road, Manchester United managed to finish third in the Premier League, won the Carabao Cup, and reached the FA Cup Final. The team’s overall rating will take a hit because of high-profile departures like Cristiano Ronaldo (87) and David de Gea (87), but they should still be able to stay within the top 10, thanks to the likes of Casemiro (89), Bruno Fernandes (86) and Marcus Rashford (85).

9. Chelsea

  • Overall: 82
  • Attack: 82
  • Midfield: 81
  • Defense: 81

Yes, we know that Chelsea are a controversial entry to this list. They closed out the season in relegation form and had they not picked up some points earlier in the season, they might have found themselves in the dogfight for Premier League survival. That said, we must not forget the team is full of young, exciting players. Also, Mauricio Pochettino, who had previously done a remarkable job at Tottenham Hotspur last season, will take over as the manager next season. This is a team that won the Champions League only two years ago and might surprise the naysayers next season. They have recouped a handsome amount of money from selling players and are expected to invest heavily to bolster the squad. Christopher Nkunku (86) could give the team’s attack a significant boost next season.

8. Arsenal

  • Overall: 82
  • Attack: 82
  • Midfield: 84
  • Defense: 81

Arsenal return to the top 10 following a remarkable Premier League campaign that saw them go toe-to-toe with Manchester City. They agonizingly finished five points behind City in the final league table, despite leading the table for no less than 240 days. The team is brimming with exceptional young talents like Bukayo Saka (85), Martin Odegaard (86), Gabriel Martinelli (80), and William Saliba (83), all of whom have very high ceilings. Saka is already confirmed to be on the EA FC 24 Ultimate Edition cover, so you can expect him to get a big upgrade in EA FC 24, alongside his other teammates. Mikel Arteta’s side has already brought in Declan Rice (84), Kai Havertz (83), and Jurrien Timber (79) to strengthen their squad and seem set to challenge the Citizens for Premier League glory once again.

7. Barcelona

  • Overall: 83
  • Attack: 83
  • Midfield: 85
  • Defense: 82

Barcelona are going through a difficult phase because of their financial crisis. The Blaugrana used to be the best FIFA team to pick a few years back, but now they find themselves far away from the peak. They still remain a formidable force nonetheless, as they beat Real Madrid to the La Liga title this season. Xavi’s men did not marginally edge their arch rivals,  they finished a whopping ten points ahead of the record-time European champions in the league. The Catalonians have some impressive players on their current roster, including the likes of Robert Lewandowski (91), Frenkie de Jong (87), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (88), Jules Kounde (83), and Pedri (85). Treble-winner Ilkay Gundogan (85) has joined the team, which makes them an even more daunting team to face next season.

6. Atletico Madrid

  • Overall: 83
  • Attack: 84
  • Midfield: 83
  • Defense: 81

Atletico Madrid finished third in La Liga last season, finished rock bottom in their Champions League group, and crashed out of the Copa del Rey quarterfinals following a Madrid derby loss. The Colchoneros still remain one of the best EA FC 24 teams. Antoine Griezmann (86) rediscovered his best form, Joao Felix (83) is yet to impress in the Atleti shirt, but he is one of the most promising young attackers in the world. Koke (85) and World Cup winner Rodrigo De Paul (84) have been consistent for them at the heart of the pitch. Do we really need to talk about the fabled Atletico Madrid defense? You will find some rock-solid options there as usual, who will make it incredibly difficult for the opposition attack to breach your backline.

5. Paris Saint-Germain

  • Overall: 84
  • Attack: 86
  • Midfield: 79
  • Defense: 82

Paris Saint-Germain have been a club marred in controversy over the past few years. On paper, they have a super team. In reality, however, they have vastly underperformed expectations. Lionel Messi (91) left the club unceremoniously,  Kylian MBappe (91) is nearing an exit, Neymar (89) is refusing to leave his high-salary comfort zone and amid such turbulent times, Luis Enrique has stepped in as the manager. The quality of PSG’s squad is unquestionable, nonetheless. If you want some French finesse, PSG is the team to pick.

4. Liverpool

  • Overall: 84
  • Attack: 86
  • Midfield: 79
  • Defense: 82

The Klopp era stands as an illustrious chapter in Liverpool’s history, characterized by unparalleled achievements in both domestic and European competitions, an exhilarating brand of attacking football, and, above all, the revival of hope and prosperity at Anfield following a prolonged period of obscurity. After mounting title challenges in all four competitions in 21/22, the Reds underwent a lackluster 22/23 season that saw them drop out of the Champions League spot. Liverpool’s late-season resurgence hints at a resurgent 23/24 season and they have already made their fans excited by bringing in Alexis Mac Allister (80) and Dominik Szoboszlai (81). Mohamed Salah (89) is still one of the finest wingers in the game and the likes of Cody Gakpo (83), Diogo Jota (85), Luis Diaz (84), and Darwin Nunez (82) alongside him make Liverpool one of the most explosive attacks in EA FC 24. The high-flying fullback duo of Trent Alexander-Arnold (85) and Andy Robertson (86) also adds to the team’s attacking potential.

3. Real Madrid

  • Overall: 85
  • Attack: 85
  • Midfield: 86
  • Defense: 84

Real Madrid only have a Copa del Rey trophy to show for their 2022/23 endeavors. Couple that with a La Liga runner-up finish and a Champions League semifinal run, Los Blancos did not have a bad season on paper. The expectations at the club, however, are always sky-high, so they won’t mark last season as a success. The 14-time European champions have lost their reliable number nine Karim Benzema (91), who signed for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. Old guards Luka Modric (88), Toni Kroos (88), and Thibaut Courtois (90), however, kept the rating high for Real Madrid. Jude Bellingham (85) arrived to bolster the team’s midfield options, while Kylian MBappe (91) is also rumored to join Vinicius Jr. (86) in the Madrid attack next season.

2. Bayern Munich

  • Overall: 85
  • Attack: 86
  • Midfield: 85
  • Defense: 83

Bayern Munich boast one of the most fearsome attacks in EA FC 24. With Thomas Muller (85), Sadio Mane (87), Leroy Sane (84), Kingsley Coman (85), and Serge Gnabry (84), no other team in the game has more firepower than the Bavarians. If their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane (89) proves fruitful, Bayern Munich’s attacking depth will be unmatched. They also have quality coverage in midfield and defense. The Bundesliga giants, therefore, are expected to be the second-strongest team in the game.

  1. Manchester City

  • Overall: 85
  • Attack: 86
  • Midfield: 85
  • Defense: 83

Manchester City deserves to be the top-ranked team in EA FC 24. They have achieved the treble and consistently displayed exceptional quality across all areas of the pitch. Upfront, they possess a formidable goal-scoring force in Erling Haaland (90), supported by the talented Julian Alvarez (79) who would be a starter in nearly any team worldwide. The flanks are terrorized by the dynamic duo of Jack Grealish (84) and Riyad Mahrez (85). In midfield, they have the ever-reliable Kevin de Bruyne (91), alongside the influential Bernardo Silva (85) and the orchestrator Rodri (87). Defensively, the team boasts outstanding performers such as Ruben Dias (88), Kyle Walker (83), Nathan Ake (80), Manuel Akanji (82), and John Stones (83), who consistently excelled throughout the previous season. This squad is brimming with versatile players and has little to no weakness in the squad.
