Date:

As we sail into the last week of Series 30 in Forza Horizon 5, I know what you are all thinking – how will I ever get all these events ticked off and the final cars picked up? Well, fret not, I’m here with all the suggestions for cars and tunes you’ll need to get the challenges found in Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 30 Spring ticked off.

Without further ado, welcome to Spring!

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – All Round Drifter

The weekly challenge car for Series 30 – Spring is the Nissan Silvia Spec-R from 2000, the S15 model. Famous for being Mona in Fast and Furious : Tokyo Drift, film fans!

Should you not have one in your garage, then it is available in the Autoshow for a mere 35,000 credits. Bargain!

Chapter 1 – Drift Machine

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!

Chapter 2 – Art Force Silvia

Now we need to win a Street Race in our Silvia. Bit odd, being a drift machine and all…

Pick your fave and get cracking. I’ve made a tune called Street S15 if you search with my GT, Red620Ti.

Chapter 3 – Shift into Action

Now simply get 5 Ultimate Drift skills. I’ve prepared a slippier version of the car, share code : 111980863.

Best place I found to do this is the roundabout at the end of the highway.

Chapter 4 – Drift Legend

Finally, we need to earn 5 stars at drift zones to finish off. Giro Encorvado at the Mexico Festival site is nice and short.

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 30.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

So, with the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

The Trial, two Eventlabs, a similar number of PR Stunts and a couple of Seasonal Championships this week.

The Trial – Korea Opportunities

This week we are limited to a Korean car, and of the not massive choice on offer, I went for a Hyundai i30N. Look for share name “i30N” with my GT, Red620Ti.

Not a huge amount of tuning, but hopefully it is better than stock!

Should we manage to win out on this mammoth drive, a Derberti Tacoma will be ours, which will come in handy later.

Eventlab 1 – SP33DK1NG555 Presents -The Coast View Circuit

The category for this one is Modern Supercars to S1 Class 900, and so I went with a Nissan GT-R Black Edition, share code : 394811233.

A fun and fast circuit, which is set at night. And the track is surrounded by walls, so not much of a coast view to be had!

The prize for completing this race is a Super Wheelspin.

Eventlab 2 – SUBIE156 Presents – District 17 : Sewer Racers

Modern Rally and Rally Monsters for this event, to A Class 800, and so it is the Hoonigan Cossie V2 I chose. The best share code you need? That’s 140648350.

A nice little track that is good fun to drive around, it’s nice to finish the Series on a high with two good tracks.

Take away a Red Car Tee for completing it.

PR Stunt 1 –  Speed Trap – Drag Strip

The PR Stunts this week all share a common theme – Rimac cars, tuned to S2 Class 998.

Rimacs are fast and electric, and hard to control, as Richard Hammond found out the hard way on the Grand Tour.

We need to hit this trap at 230 mph, which is pretty brisk! I chose a Nevera to do this in so look for the share name “Nevera” with my GT, Red620Ti.

Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – Estadio

Same type of challenge as above, with the same car. It’s just that this time we need to hit a mere 200mph to win.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 3 – Speed Trap – Federal Highway

Guess what? It’s time to rinse and repeat again! This time the speed is 280mph, so take a run up!

Yet another Super Wheelspin for doing this.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Holden a Minute

Hi, pun writers. You’re doing a fine job, as always.

For this event it’s the Holden cars that come to the fore. The tuning limit is A Class 800, and while they may be Australian and rough round the edges, you gotta love a Ute, right? With that in mind, I chose a Maloo, share code : 101727402.

For winning out, we can take home a #530 HSV Maloo.

Seasonal Championship 2 – Sit Up and Take Lotus

Oh my, they get worse.

The class this time around is A Class 800, and we need to use a Lotus, believe it or not.

I went with a Elise Series 1, and the share code is 925026730.

The prize for winning is a Caterham R500, which makes up for the hassle, I guess.

Part 3: Other Challenges

There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week with Series 30 – Spring.

What do we have? Well a photo to take, some treasure to find, some jolly cooperation and that’s your lot!

Photo Challenge – #DRIFTLIFE

We have to photograph any Formula Drift car anywhere we like. Should be pretty simple, no?

See up top for my artistic effort. Maybe a nice action shot, although I can never get the shot just right as I have to stop countersteering to press the photo button. It’s not easy this job, you know!

The reward? A new Forzalink phrase “Licence to Skill”. No Mr Bond, I expect you to drift!

Treasure Hunt – A Falcon among Flamingos

The clue reads “Head to Cascadas de Agua Azul, place Falcon in frame in front of the pool, taking a picture is what I’d advise, doing this right will win you the prize!”

Well, that seems pretty clear, no? See below for the photo I took, as well as the location of the chest. All the pictures this week!

The chest contains 300FP, which is nice.

Horizon Tour – Co-Op Championships

Join some like minded drivers to take on the driverbots, and winning out is usually pretty simple. No tunes for this as it could be any class or type of race, but have fun.

The prize for completing this is 8 points to the weekly total, which is not to be sneezed at!

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Treetops

We need a Deberti for this event, and one tuned to S1 Class 900.

I used a stock Toyota Tacoma TRD “The Performance Truck” – and the target is 140,000 points. Just keep sliding! Approaching from the north is easier as the track is downhill.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Waiting for the Drop

This week we need an A Class 800 Unlimited Offroad car, and the only choice is the Jeep Trailcat, share code : 118411445.

Completing the championship will get us a Corvette from 2002.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Devil’s Pass

Another event needing a Deberti, and again with S1 Class 900 as the limit. I used a stock Toyota Tacoma TRD “The Performance Truck”. Why change a winning formula?

The target is 110,000 drift points, a reasonably challenging total.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – Honda Road Again

Sigh. Guess what we need for this event? Yes, a Honda.

I used a stock Civic Type R from 2004, as it is already at the tuning limit of C Class 600.

For winning, it is an Epitaph White Logo Relaxed Tee that we can take away. My life is now complete.

With Series 30 at the Spring mark, a new set of cars are up for grabs. And they are the Ioniq 6 ‘22 for 80 points and a Nio EP9 for 160. You should have plenty enough for these now.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added too, and there are two for proper cars and two for EVs. For proper cars, we can have a crack at Estadio Circuit and Horizon Baja Scramble, while the EV lovers amongst us will enjoy Tierra Prospera Circuit and Aerodroma Sprint. Put in a clean lap on each event to earn 4 points in total, not per race as it appears.

Grab enough points and Series 30 – Spring also sees you given access to the exclusive MG MG7 for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a MG MG2 a hard to find car apparently. Very MG flavoured prizes this week!

New Series next week, and all I know is that it is the 31st, entitled “European Automotive”. Guess we’ll have to wait until next week to see what is in store, eh?

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
