Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 22 – Autumn | TheXboxHub

Date:

While the weather outside seems to have the thermostat set firmly on “hot”, in the world of Forza Horizon 5, it is now Autumn in Mexico. You know what that means – more new challenges to look at with Series 22 Autumn.

Forza Horizon 5 Series 22 Autumn Challenges Await

Yes, Autumn of Series 22 is here, a time of mists and mellow fruitfulness, unless you are in Mexico of course! Here, it is all speed, dust and misbehaving in cars that is on offer, as well as it being Storm Season. Hopefully we can steer you in the right direction when it comes to cars and tunes for the upcoming shenanigans found in the latest Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges.

So without further ado, let’s jump straight in and see what is on the Forza Horizon 5 menu this week. We’re covering the Hard Charge Skill and Tank Collectibles too.

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Natural Selection

The subject of this week’s car challenge is a car that I have a soft spot for in my heart – The Mitsubishi Evo VIII MR from 2004. This is my go-to car for B Class off road races, and so I’m delighted to see it recognised here.

The eighth generation isn’t my favourite, I think that is still the Evo IV, but this will do.

Should you not have one in your garage, it is available from the Autoshow for a mere 31.000 credits

Chapter 1 – In a Long Line

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!

Chapter 2 – Theory of Evolution

Now we need to earn a Hard Charger skill to show that the 2-litre turbo engine in the Evo is still doing its job.

A Hard Charger skill is when you perform a Burnout and a Speed skill in quick succession. Tricky in a grippy AWD car! I tuned one up so look for “S1 Evo” under my name – Red620Ti.

Chapter 3 – Mitsubishi Racing

We now need to score two stars on the Mountain Pass speed zone.

This equates to 105 mph through the zone, and the S1 class tune I made above will make short work of this step.

Chapter 4 – Built for Both

Finally, we need to tune our little Evo to A Class and win either a dirt or a road race, whichever you fancy. I chose dirt, and made a tune called “Evo A”.

And with that, the weekly challenge is complete and we are five points closer to the reward cars of Series 22. You like reward cars, yeah? Of course you do.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

As Autumn has arrived, so have a host of new challenges. This week’s collection is as follows…

The Trial – Tune It Up – Honda S2000

The Trial this week sees us limited to only using the Honda S2000, famed for its high revving VTEC engine. And just to make it a little spicier, we can only tune to A Class 800.

There are only two S2000’s in the whole game, and so I went with an S2000 CR, and the share code is a secret. But search for S2k in conjunction with my GT, Red620Ti, and hopefully you will find it.

Now, as usual, we need to hopefully find some random players from the internet who wish to practice teamwork. That’s not as easy as you would imagine but jump in and cross the fingers.

Should we manage to win two out of three races, a lovely Chevy Camaro from 2018 is our reward.

Eventlab 1 – HOKIHOSHI  presentsPurple Mountain Raceway

For this event, we need only use an A Class 800 car, so I went with the first one I could find, the Evo VIII MR I was in in the last section!

This is a pretty good circuit race, with a decent flow, so go nuts.

The prize for completing this race is a Donut Media Gray Hoodie

Eventlab 2 – MOSSYMONK presents Rally Rampage “Fog”

For this challenge, we need an Unlimited Offroad vehicle, and as always, it is the Jeep Trailcat that gets my vote. The share code for mine is : 118411445.

This is a long, messy, foggy disappointment of a track, and one I didn’t enjoy at all.

But hey, a new car horn is yours for doing this – a Donut Media “Lightning ” horn, no less.

PR Stunt 1 – Speed Trap – Arid Hills

The new vehicles for the PR Stunts this week are all the same class, a Cult Car tuned to C Class 600.

The speed we need to achieve here is 125 mph, and in order to do it, I chose a Ford Anglia 105E as it had a lot of tuning headroom. The share phrase is “Anglia”. With 300 BHP and stock tyres, it does need a firm hand!

A Super Wheelspin will be yours if you drive fast enough.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Zone – Festival Speed Zone

Average speed is what we are after this time, in the same class of car as before, and so I stayed in the Anglia from above. We need to maintain 70 mph.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 3 – Danger Sign – Cannonball

Same class of car, but a different challenge this time – Can you jump about a bit? The distance we need to clear is a respectable 165m, and the car class is the same, so I used the same car.

Yet another Super Wheelspin to add to the pile.

Seasonal Championship 1 – We Came to Race

The theme this week is Muscle Vs Tuner, and so out of the available cars, of course I had to choose a Skyline, didn’t I? The R33 from 1997 to be precise, and the share code is : 224199956. This is Street racing, so watch out for insomniac Mexicans – there are a lot of them about.

For winning outright solo, or best two out of three in a convoy, we can take home a Datsun 510.

Seasonal Championship 2 – Playtime

S1 Class 900 Track Toys are required for this Championship, and what could be better than a Porsche 911 GT2 Rs, with share code 129256081. There isn’t much better.

For winning best two out of three in a convoy, or the whole thing solo, a Dodge Charger will be yours. Antique!

Seasonal Championship 3 – It’s a Custom Job

We need a “Rods and Customs” class car for this, and of the slim pickings available, I went with a bone stock Hot Wheels Twin Mill, as it is almost the right tuning class (A Class 800) as the event demands. It’s a bit slidy!

We can walk away with another horn for coming out on top, a Donut Media “honk Honk” one.

Part 3: Other Challenges

Series 22 – Autumn focuses on the Photo Challenge and some Collectibles.

Photo Challenge – #Lowrider

Not too tricky this week – we simply need to take a 1964 Chevy Impala Super Sport to the La Casa Solariega house and snap a photo. What could be easier?

I’ll post the location and my artistic effort below for your admiration. Or maybe ridicule.

The reward? A new top, a Tuning Hoodie no less. Makes it all worthwhile.

Collectibles Challenge – Tune Up Tank

This week we need to smash some cute little Tank pinatas, which are found around The Horizon Baja Circuit. I’ll stick a picture of what you are looking for below.

We need to find and break 10 of these things.

For smashing the required amount, we can take home a new emote, “So Cute”. It’s so cute.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Forest Flume

You know the score with a Speed Zone by now – maintain an average speed through the zone to win.

The speed we need here is 180 mph and the car we have to use is an S1 CLass 900 Lotus. I tuned up a 3-Eleven to do this, and while I can’t share a code, do a search for my name (Red620Ti) and name of tune “S1 Lotus”.

Approach from the right and hold on as the water makes this very tricky.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Burning Rubber

We need to use a Hot Wheels car for this, to a maximum tune of A Class 800. I went for the stock Twin Mill, thinking speed will be our friend.

Winning all the races, or two out of three in a convoy, will get us a new horn, the “Hot Wheels Flames” one.Toasty.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Joya Marron

Now we are talking, I do love a drift zone! The challenge this week is to take an S1 Class Lotus and score over 105,000 drift points. Not going to lie, I didn’t see that one coming!

I chose a stock 3-Eleven, as it is rear wheel drive and already an S1 class, and finally slid my way to victory.

That prize being a Super Wheelspin.

Seasonal Championship – A Little Pick-Me-Up

I wonder what we need to use in this championship? Well, surprisingly, it is a Pick Up and 4X4 event, and the maximum tune is B Class 700. I went with a Ram Power Wagon from 2017, and the share code is : 619251093.

For winning out, we can take away a new clothing item, a Grit reapers Tee.

With Series 22 on the roll, new monthly rewards are up for grabs. For a mere 80 points, you can take home a Pagani Huayra BC and for 160 points you can have a #64 Nissan Z, a nice looking drift car. The Z is exclusive to this reward as well, so go for it!

The new monthly Rivals challenges are also live – whack in some clean laps around Copper Canyon and the other around Los Jardines circuit. Make sure you take these in at some point during Series 22 – unless you did them last week of course? Sure you did!

Grab enough points and Autumn will also see you gifted with the GMC Syclone pickup for 20 points and the mighty HDT VK Commodore for 40 points.

And that rounds off the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 22 Autumn. We’ll be back with a similar guide for the Winter and Spring months. Before we know it, Series 23 will be here.

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

As always, the comments section is below. We’d love to know if these cars and tunes have helped you out.
