Taiga Rumored to Join Bleed Esports

Date:

Tommy “Taiga” Le is reportedly considering joining SEA outfit Bleed Esports

Tommy “Taiga” Le is eyeing a fresh start in his career, aiming to make a name for himself in the competitive Southeast Asian gaming scene. Cybersport.Metaratings.ru claims that Taiga will sign for Bleed Esports and also suggests that in addition to the multiple ESL One champion, another well-known player could be joining the Bleed roster. Currently, the team is actively engaged in negotiations with potential new additions.

Taiga boasts an impressive track record in the competitive Dota 2 scene, representing renowned sides like Alliance, Team Liquid, and OG. Before venturing into his new journey with Bleed Esports, the seasoned Dota 2 player briefly took his talents to Wildcard Gaming. Unfortunately, the team faced a challenging road to qualify for The International 12 in the North American region, ultimately finishing in 4th place, narrowly missing the cut for the prestigious event.

It’s worth noting that Bleed Esports had their own share of setbacks in their quest to qualify for The International 2023. The team’s journey took a challenging turn when they found themselves in the fourth round of the lower bracket, facing off against Geek Fam. The Singaporean team fell short in the must-win affair, with Geek Fam emerging victorious in a hard-fought series, ultimately resulting in a 1-2 defeat.

Taiga Left OG After a Successful Career

Taiga found himself on the sidelines when OG legend Sébastien “Ceb” Debs returned to the roster ahead of the team’s TI12 qualification campaign. Over the course of the past two years, Taiga had consistently demonstrated his flexibility by seamlessly transitioning between the two support roles. During his OG tenure, Taiga won the ESL One Germany 2020, ESL One Stockholm Major 2022, and ESL One Malaysia 2022.

“All good things must come to an end. Thankful for my time at OG, although I wish it didn’t end this way,” Taiga tweeted afterward.

In a sincere Twitter post, Taiga bravely shared his personal battle with gambling addiction. His decision to discuss his struggles was driven by a desire to encourage those facing similar challenges.

His post read, “Like I mentioned in the text down below, if you ever need anyone to talk to or if you’ve struggled with similar things like I’ve had, don’t be afraid to send me a message on any of my social media. I know how hard and destructive addiction can be.”

As per Taiga’s statement, he fell into the grip of addiction when his passion for Dota 2 started to wane. He mentioned that his gambling habit started after The International 2022 (TI11), initially beginning with bets on the FIFA World Cup 2022 and later branching out to other sports and casino games. Over time, Taiga came to regret squandering all the fruits of his hard work deeply.

In his words, “Everyday was a nightmare thinking about what I had lost and worked so hard for, all the hours and years that I spent on grinding, went to waste just like that in the span of a couple months.”

Taiga’s message didn’t hold back in addressing the grim consequences of his addiction, which extended beyond financial woes. He admitted to a significant shift in his values, personality, and behavior, which left him feeling like a stranger to himself. The burden of guilt and shame, he confessed, had hindered him from seeking assistance or confiding in his loved ones.

Taiga’s life took a positive turn when he decided to take proactive steps to fight his addiction and opened up about his gambling problems to his loved ones. This marked the beginning of his journey toward recovery, with therapy playing a crucial role in his healing process.

After openly discussing his difficulties, Taiga expressed a strong ambition to reenter the competitive gaming scene as a player. He laid out his plan to dive back into Dota 2, resume streaming, and rediscover his old hobbies. Taiga also underlined his dedication to the new team he’s in the process of joining in a different region.
