VeeFriends is thrilled to deep-dive into Phase 2 in the Snoop Dogg x VeeFriends Collaboration “Burn to Compete & Ape In.” Phase 2 is set to celebrate the collaboration between GaryVee and Snoop Dogg as well as Snoop’s passion for Web3, specifically his iconic Bored Ape known as Dr. Bombay.

To allow participants to evaluate their internet connection speed, VeeFriends is working on providing a “Trivia Sample’’ so users can know if their network latency will play a factor. We are also exploring solutions to minimize latency on the backend to enhance the experience. We will post a recommended minimum upload and download speed before Phase 2 to ensure a smooth experience.

What is Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC)?

Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is a collection of 10,000 unique NFT apes that exist exclusively on the Ethereum blockchain. The project was launched in April 2021, and since then, it has become one of the most popular NFT projects. Each Bored Ape NFT is unique and comes with its own attributes, such as clothes, accessories, and backgrounds, making it a one-of-a-kind collectible. The project’s popularity can be attributed to its strong community, high-quality art, and the scarcity of the NFTs.

The BAYC has attracted a significant following from celebrities, including Snoop Dogg! The project has also been featured in various mainstream media outlets, including The New York Times and Forbes. The BAYC collection and other items in the Yuga ecosystem have seen high-profile sales, with certain items fetching above 6 figures.

REMINDERS on Burning Process

As part of mainnet transactions, you can expect two transactions with gas (check gas in real-time) associated with burning for this burn.

Step 1 — Set Approval For All: A one-time transaction for approval and the burning transaction. Set Approval For All is required to grant approval for a smart contract to transfer multiple tokens on behalf of the user without requiring separate approvals for each token transfer.

Step 2 — BURN Your NFT: After you complete the Set Approval For All transaction, you can burn your NFT(s). Transactions on mainnet can take longer to complete than Layer 2 IMX. Typically the transaction can take 30 seconds to 2 minutes if your gas is set to the recommended amount (The preset amount has over a 90% chance of being in the next block). If you slow down your gas, it may take over 15 minutes.
