Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 31 – Summer | TheXboxHub

Date:

Well, it is finally here, the dawn of Series 31 of the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges in Forza Horizon 5, And that means there are a host of new cars and tunes to get through for the Summer.

The theme of the Series has been revealed as “European Automotive”, which given how many countries in Europe make cars, leaves the criteria pretty wide open, doesn’t it?

So, let’s drive into a whole new Series, with European cars as far as the eye can see – and of course I’ll be right here with the usual suggestions. Lets go!

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Italian V8

The weekly challenge car for Series 31 – Summer is a Ferrari, the 458 from 2009. Conceived as the replacement for the F430, this car’s powerplant is the highest revving Ferrari V8 of all time. All the way up to 9,000!

Should you not have one in your garage, then it is available in the Autoshow. It’s not cheap, but chances are you’ll have tons of spare credits kicking around.

Chapter 1 – Over 9000!

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!

Chapter 2 – Cutting Edge

Now we need to win a Road Race in our Ferrari – right in its wheelhouse! I used the Horizon Oval for an easy time of it.

Chapter 3 – 12.5 To 1

With over 560 BHP, we now have to use the Ferrari to earn three stars from speed zones. Simple enough because this thing shifts!

Chapter 4 – Everyday Supercar

Why would you want an everyday supercar? Surely driving it should be an event?

Anyway, to prove you can live with it or something, we now need to earn five near miss skills. Go to the highway and try not to crash.

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 31.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

So, with the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

The Trial, three Eventlabs, a similar number of PR Stunts and a couple of Seasonal Championships this week.

The Trial – Audi Ya Do

This week we find ourselves limited to European Modern Sportscars, and the tuning limit is quite low at A Class 800. I chose an Audi TTS, from 2015, and the share code is : 831803008.

The prize for managing to find people who actually want to race is an Audi RS6 from 2003.

Eventlab 1 – FLX 36 Presents -Coast-City-Circuit Drivertars

The category for this one is European Super Saloons, and of the cars on offer, I chose an Audi RS6 Avant from 2015, share code : 736888629.

An okay track with some ridiculous bends, nevertheless this is quite fun to drive.

The prize for completing this race is a BMW M5.

Eventlab 2 – XRCOSWORTH01 Presents – Dancing Gopher

European Rally Monsters for this event, to A Class 800.

I went for a Peugeot 207 Super 2000. Look for share name “2000” with my GT, Red620Ti.

A nice mainly off road track, I liked this one. The last corner is a doozy however!

Take away a BMW 1 Series M for completing it.

Eventlab 3 – PETROLHEAD55823 Presents – Powerplant Surge V1.3

For this event, we need European Super Saloons once again, and so the same RS6 gets the nod from the first Eventlab.

An odd track that switches between regular road and Hot Wheels track, it does have a good flow but the changes are a bit jarring.

Take away a BMW Isetta for completing this event, why don’t you?

PR Stunt 1 –  Danger Sign – Baja Showjump

The PR Stunts this week all share a common theme – Volvo cars, tuned to C Class 600.

We need to clear over 125 m to do this, and so I went with a Volvo 850R. If it’s good enough for the BTCC…

Look for 850R as a share name with the GT Red620Ti. This car did all three PR Stunts no problems.

Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – Sendero

Now we have to do some light speeding, in a Volvo. What could go wrong? The target is 90 mph.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 3 – Speed Zone – La Subida

Guess what? It’s time to do some average speed checks now, and our target is 80 mph. Keep behind the wheel of that Volvo.

Yet another Super Wheelspin for doing this.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Exclusive Event- Lucky Lancia

For this event it’s the Lancia cars that get the nod, and with the tuning limit being only B Class 700, I went for a classic Stratos. To find it you need to search for “Stratos B” as a share name with Red620Ti as a GT.

For winning out, we can take home a Lancia Fulvia, an exclusive car we need for the photo challenge this week. That’s lucky!

Seasonal Championship 2 – Ferrari Park

The class this time around we are looking to S1 Class 900, and we need to use a Ferrari, believe it or not.

I went with an 812 Superfast, as it has fast in the name, and the share code for mine is : 261040765.

The prize for winning is a BMW M3 from 1991 which makes up for the hassle, I guess.

Part 3: Other Challenges

There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week with Series 31 – Summer..

What do we have? Well a photo to take, some Horizon Arcade, Open and Collectible smashing.

Photo Challenge – #FULLOFENERGY

We have to photograph a 1968 Lancia Fulvia Coupe this week, anywhere we fancy. I’m thinking somewhere out in the wooly wilds to celebrate the rally heritage?

See up top for my artistic effort.

The reward? A new emote, Chicken Dance. Always wanted that one.

Horizon Arcade – Mini Games

Join some like-minded drivers to take on the challenge of scoring enough points to get to round three and complete any Horizon Arcade event. Choose from drift (yay), speed, wreckage, chaos or air, and get the job done.

The prize for completing this is 3 points to the weekly total, which is not to be sneezed at!

Horizon Open – Eure-car!

More Puns? Awesome.

We simply need to complete a Horizon Open race event in a European car to win out this time. No recommendations from me, sadly, as it could be any class, but take part and have fun.

A Cupra Race Suit will be your reward.

Collectibles – Star Power

Time to smash!

Drive around Teotihuacan and find and smash 10 Star Trophies to complete this step. See below for a picture of what you are looking for, and the area they are in.

We get a new horn for doing this “Europe Cover Car”. I can’t even imagine…

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Turbo Knot

This week we need an S2 Class 998 European Hypercar, and there is a fair bit of choice.

I went with a stock Koenigsegg Jesko, as it needs to be RWD ideally. We need to score over 200,000 drift points to walk away winners.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Competitive Avant-age

This week we need an S2 Class 998 European Hypercar, and there is a fair bit of choice.

I went with a Koenigsegg Agera RS, share code : 109282883. Just had the weirdest feeling of deja vu…

Completing the championship will get us an Audi RS4 ‘13.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger sign – La Cantera

European Rally Monsters is the category here, and the Tuning limit is A Class 800. I went for a Peugeot 207 Super 2000. Look for share name “2000” with my GT, Red620Ti.

The target is to jump over 270 m, a reasonably challenging total.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – Cupra-Sized

More puns, my fave.

For this event, it is a European SUV Hero vehicle we need, tuned up to B Class 700. I went with a stock Porsche Macan Turbo, as it is practically at the right level.

For winning, it is a Tavascan from 2022 that we can take away. My life is now complete.

With Series 31 just dawning a new set of cars are up for grabs. And they are the Ferrari 575M for 80 points and an Audi RS6 ’21 for 160.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added too, and there are two for proper cars and two for EVs. For proper cars, we can have a crack at the Plaza Circuit and Reservorio Sprint, while the EV lovers amongst us will enjoy Tunnel Run (I hate this track) and the Lookout circuit.

Put in a clean lap on each event to earn 4 points in total, not per race as it appears.

Grab enough points and Series 31 Summer also sees you given access to the exclusive Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Renault Megane RS250, a hard to find car apparently.

Tune in this time next week as the new series moves into Autumn, and plenty more challenges are unveiled.

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
