Valve surprised with an interesting Dota Plus Seasonal Update that has a lot of new options. Let’s go through all of them.

Hardcore Dota 2 fans know that Dota Plus is a very handy feature that allows them to have access to a lot of in-depth stats. It’s been a while since Valve decided to update it. The Dota Plus Seasonal Update has a lot of different things we need to talk about, and we’ll analyze all of them in this article.

Dota Plus Seasonal Treasure

The first reward that Dota Plus members can access is a Seasonal Treasure. People can get it using shards, and it will include new sets for the following heroes:

• Dark Willow
• Doom
• Underlord
• Earth Spirit
• Disruptor
• Spectre
• Nyx Assassin
• Chaos Knight

Aside from the new sets, the Dota Plus Seasonal Treasure also has an extremely rare courier called Sir Molestach Irondrill. 

Speaking of cosmetic items, another thing that Valve added is the different chests from the Sukmmer Treasure 2022.  Following these changes, players can purchase each chest for 15,000 shards.

New Seasonal Quests and Guild Rewards

Another new thing that the Dota Plus Update Spring 2024 gave us access to is new quests. They will offer up to 115,200 shards throughout the season, which means you will have plenty of opportunities to get the sets you want. In terms of the Guild Rewards, they include new sprays, emoticons, chat wheels, and more.

Dota Labs

Aside from the Dota Plus Update, Valve also decided to offer us something called Dota Labs. The latter will be available to all players, and it will include experimental features. People can access the Dota Labs once they open their clients and go to the Menu.

According to Valve, the company has been testing these features for a while now, but they want to see how players are using them. In other words, all of the features you’ll see below are disabled by default, so you will have to go to Options and enable them.

• Modifier Key Filter Bindings – This is a very handy feature that allows you to bind modifier keys. Holding that key can force your target selection to allies, creeps, heroes, etc. The idea of this option is to remove the misclicking issue.
• Overlay Map – This will be like the minimap, but it’s large and transparent. Also, you can use it in full screen. In other words, the idea of the feature is to allow players to see more things using the map.
• High-Visibility Local Hero Healthbar – This feature from Dota Labs allows players to keep track of their hero’s nameplate when there is a chaotic team fight. This is a common problem in Dota 2, especially when you lack experience.
