Destiny 2 Herod-C God Roll Guide

Date:

The new weapon crafting system in Destiny 2 The Witch Queen is a huge addition to the game. Gathering and using resources to make the weapons and gear you want is a huge uplift in the quality of life for the game. Players are busy rushing around, trying to find those new Deepsight weapons and caches, learning what secrets they hold. With new crafting materials like Resonant Alloy to gather, there’s a lot to learn. There’s also a bunch of powerful and strange new weapons, like the Parasite, which were added to give players something to chase.  And with the new expansion comes a mountain of new Nightfall, Playlist and other weapons that can be farmed to further augment your arsenal.

How to get Herod-C in Destiny 2

Herod-C is a Gambit exclusive weapon that will only drop after you complete a round in that mode. There are several other weapons in the Gambit weapon drop pool that you might want as well, so get out there and see what you can find. And if you happen to attune a DSR variant of it, you can make use of some of these new rolls.

Unfortunately, like other playlist weapons, the Herod-C comes with so many perks that it’s basically impossible to grind for anything specific. New perks include Steady Hands, Compulsive Reloader, and Stats For All. Each of these offers a ton of changes to the existing way that players get involved in the game. The new variant makes use of the Origin Traits and Hakke Foundry mods to add a new dimension to its power as well. The Herod-C God Roll is a bit finicky, as it has a lot of options, so pick the ones that work best for your playstyle.

Herod-C PvE God Roll

  • Arrowhead Brake
  • Appended Mag
  • Stats for All or Subsistence
  • Frenzy
  • Masterwork: Range or Stability
  • Mod: Spec Mod

Arrowhead Brake and Appended are all but vital in this gun for most players. Scaling for better accuracy is a great boon for hitting your targets. The new Stats for All mod offers some interesting changes to the way you support your pals. Frenzy is a must here, as those kill bonuses really help keep you in the fight. By throwing in increases to Range, you can actually do quite well in PvE.

Herod-C PvP God Roll

  • Arrowhead Brake or Smallbore
  • Ricochet Rounds
  • Dynamic Sway Reduction
  • Moving Target
  • Masterwork: Range or Stability
  • Mod: Icarus

The Herod-C PvP God Roll is a bit harder to nail down. Arrowhead Brake once again comes in strong. You have a little more flexibility on Perks, depending on your playstyle. Dynamic Sway Reduction is a great choice if you’re having trouble landing shots. Ricochets can help as well, although a bit indirectly. You’re probably better off using some old favorites like Subsistence or Frenzy, if you like those sweet kill bonuses. Moving Target is great for getting those extra shots in.
