Here’s everything you need to know about VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff, including information about the teams, format and an updated schedule

As we go into the second season of franchised Valorant, the Pacific League will be starting a bit early. Unlike last year, there won’t be month-long round-robin matches. 

We will also see newcomers who prove themselves to be the best in the Pacific tier 2 scene in 2023. Most squads of this League are from the Asia-Pacific region, and the rest will arrive from South Korea and Japan.

VCT 2024 Pacific Kickoff – List of Teams

All ten teams from the 2023 season will reappear, with one newcomer from Pacific Ascension. Here are the 11 teams competing in the Pacific Kickoff.

VCT 2024 Pacific Kickoff – Prize 

The top two teams from the event will qualify for Masters Madrid, with the winner securing 3 Pacific Points. 

VCT 2024 Pacific Kickoff – Format

This year’s league format is vastly different from 2023’s round-robin clashes. With 11 teams in the tournament, the format has become slightly more complex. Kickoff will begin with a Group Stage, followed by a Play-In stage and Playoffs. 

Group Stage

There will be three GSL groups in this stage. The top squad from each Group will move to the Playoffs. Second-best will have to compete in the Play-In stage. 

Out of the three, two groups will have four teams each. The third group will have three teams to accommodate the 11 teams of the league. 

Paper Rex, the runner-up of Champions 2023, will have a bye in Group C. Therefore, winning a single match will allow them to advance to the Playoffs. 

Play-In 

Second-placing squads from all three groups will advance to the Play-In stage. In Play-In, all three squads will fight in a round-robin format. The best roster will advance to the Playoffs.

Playoffs

Four qualified teams from the Group Stage and Playoffs will compete in the Playoffs, which features a single-elimination bracket.

Unlike last year, the 2024 Pacific League will last for only over a week. Most days will have 2-3 matches, starting either 01:00 ET / 07:00 CET / 14:00 UTC+8 or 03:00 ET / 09:00 CET / 16:00 UTC+8 every day. Here is an updated schedule with results and upcoming matches:
