Monster Hunting Cheatsheet Serpent Gladiator

Date:

If you’re here, it can only mean one thing: you suck at Lords Mobile. Okay, maybe that was a little harsh, but you need a hand beating the Serpent Gladiator, am I right? That’s understandable. I mean, I never had a problem beating this monster, but hey, not everyone can be as good as me.

Either way, you’re in luck. I’ve got some great F2P and P2P lineups you can use to destroy that slithery fella. If you stick with me, you’ll also learn all about the goodies you can get for beating it and how to use them to make some pretty decent gear.

How to Attack Serpent Gladiator?

Serpent Gladiator Serpent Gladiator

Like pretty much every other monster in Lords, Serpent Gladiator spawns for 2 hours and 55 minutes on the Kingdom Map, and that’s exactly how much time you’ll have to kill it. Without my help, you’d probably need hours on this thing. But with this guide, the Serpent Gladiator will be slain in minutes.

So, what’s the deal with this snake? Well, Serpent Gladiator has really high physical defense (PDEF). For those of you out there who have a hard time figuring things out for yourself (which is most of you, let’s be honest), that means that you need to use magic attacks.

The best lineups for smashing the Serpent Gladiator will include INT heroes who can blast, burn, freeze, and fry this sucker off the Kingdom Map.

But, the Serpent Gladiator won’t just sit there and take hit after hit. It’ll hit back. And this monster can deal some pretty massive damage. That’s why I also recommend including a healer in your lineup (like Prima Donna for F2P players or Lore Weaver for P2P) and at least one hero who can buff and boost the team.

Serpent Gladiator F2P Lineup

If you want to chop Serpent Gladiator heads, it’s all about picking the best lineup. That’s basically how Lords Mobile works, for those of you who haven’t been paying much attention. But which lineup is best, if you only have access to free heroes?

Luckily, even among the F2P set, you can put together a solid lineup that should be able to defeat the Serpent Gladiator pretty consistently.

Before we get to the lists, I’ll remind you of some golden rules. First, don’t throw under-leveled heroes in your lineup if you’ve got other characters who are way higher level. The max-level guys and gals can deal way more damage and stay alive much longer.

Secondly, don’t be afraid to mix and match or swap out one hero in the list for someone else with a similar skill set. As long as you’ve got good gear and high-level heroes, you can usually find a couple of different lineups to beat each monster.

Now, let’s get to the lineups:

Serpent gladiator Line upSerpent gladiator Line up

Level 1-3 Serpent Gladiator F2P Hero Lineup: Incinerator, Sage of Storms, Elementalist, Snow Queen, Bombin’ Goblin

If you’ve seen any of my other guides (and if not, you really should check them out), then you might be familiar with this lineup. It’s a proven force against monsters that are weak to magic, and the Incinerator + Elementalist combo has always been one of the best in the game for dealing massive magic damage.

Level 4 Serpent Gladiator F2P Hero Lineup: Incinerator, Sage of Storms, Elementalist, Snow Queen, Prima Donna

At level 4, we’re swapping out Bombin’ Goblin for Prima Donna. It should be pretty obvious why, but here’s an explainer for the dummies: Serpent Gladiator deals bigger damage at higher levels, and you need a healer (Prima Donna) to offset it.

Level 5 Serpent Gladiator F2P Hero Lineup: Incinerator, Child of Light, Elementalist, Snow Queen, Prima Donna

Finally, at the very top level, we kick Sage of Storms to the curb and bring in Child of Light. Again, keeps your team strong and alive for as long as possible. Child of Light has handy skills that absorb damage and protect the squad, while also dealing decent damage to boot.

Serpent Gladiator P2P Lineup

If you’re more of a P2P (pay-to-play) player, you’ll have an easier time handling Serpent Gladiator. Money talks in this game, and P2P heroes have some of the best stats and skills for tackling big bads like this guy. That might make you mad, but that’s capitalism, kids.

When it comes to P2P lineups, I’m still going to include a couple of freebie heroes like Incinerator and Elementalist, but we’re also bringing in some heavier hitters elsewhere to hopefully get the fight over faster so you can get your hands on some fun loot.

Level 1-4 Serpent Gladiator P2P Hero Lineup: Incinerator, Elementalist, Storm Fox, Dream Witch, Petite Devil

For levels 1 to 4, I’m recommending the lineup above. Again, we’ve got that Incinerator + Elementalist double-act that does so much damage. But we’re also bringing in key P2P heroes to maximize the offensive output while protecting the squad as much as possible from any counterattacks.

Level 5 Serpent Gladiator P2P Hero Lineup: Incinerator, Elementalist, Petite Devil, Lore Weaver, Twilight Priestess

At level 5, you’ll need to make a couple of modifications. I recommend throwing Lore Weaver in to heal everyone and Twilight Priestess for some stun potential.

Serpent Gladiator Rewards

If you’ve come this far, without skipping anything, you’ll know how to defeat Serpent Gladiator. If you have skipped something, go back and read it, lazy! Then get back here and take a look at what kind of rewards you can get for destroying the Serpent Gladiator:

  • Chest (Common to Legendary, depending on the level)
  • Speed Up (Between 1h and 24h)
  • Shield (8h to 3d)
  • Gems (200 to 1,000)
  • Gold (15k to 600k)
  • Dune Core
  • Tough Scales
  • Blade Tip
  • Toxic Fang

The final four items on that list are materials. You’ll use them to make the Serpent Gladiator Set. And if your little fingers can manage to scroll down a tiny bit further, I’ll tell you all about it.

Gears

Gather enough materials, and you can make the four items of the Serpent Gladiator Set. What do I think about this set? Eh, it’s okay. The Venom Blade is decent, and the Serpent Helm is also worth getting, especially for F2P players.

None of the items in this set are exactly the best around, and they can’t compete with the Champion Set (nothing can), but they’ve still got some decent stats, especially for an offense. Here’s a closer look:

Serpent-Gladiator-GearSerpent-Gladiator-Gear
  • Coiled Armband – As far as accessories go, this one’s not half bad. It gives you an 18.2% increase to infantry and ranged ATK, 14% more infantry DEF, and 11.2% extra ranged HP.
  • Serpent Helm – This helmet is one of my favorite items from this set. At top level, it gives a major 42% boost to both infantry and ranged ATK, making it really versatile. It also brings a 35% boost to army DEF and 21% more infantry max HP.
  • Desert Trousers – The Desert Trousers are the weak point of the entire Serpent Gladiator set, with only minimal boosts. They give you an extra 14% in infantry and ranged ATK (noticing a pattern, here?), along with a measly 4.2% extra infantry HP and 9.8% ranged DEF.
  • Venom Blade – This is the most expensive item in the set, and you’ll need to pick up 13 Toxic Fangs, 12 Tough Scales, and 15 Dune Cores to make it. It’s an off-hand with 35% boosts to infantry and ranged ATK, along with 14% more ranged DEF and army HP.

Serpent Gladiator Packs

If you don’t want to waste time grinding for gear (those Dune Cores are a pain to get!), you can just buy Serpent Gladiator Chests, open ‘em up, and hope you get the materials you need. Here are the other packs you can check out.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Serpent Gladiator is one of the better-designed monsters and packs a pretty mean punch. Luckily, I know how to take a hit, and now, so do you. With my expert assistance, you shouldn’t have any trouble beating this monster.

Remember, magic works best in this battle. So start boosting up those sorcerers and mages, if you haven’t already. And make sure that Incinerator and Elementalist are always part of your team, even at P2P levels. They’ll do so most of the work.

Then, once you start beating the Serpent Gladiator consistently and earning some materials, I recommend buying the Venom Blade first. It’ll help you the most, and it’s a hell of a lot better value than those dumb Desert Trousers.
