Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, also known to more people as CSGO has been one of the most beloved shooters of all time. It was released back in 2012 by Valve, the same company that owns Steam and made classic games such as Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead and Dota. Many people have felt like CSGO was falling a bit behind with all the new games coming out. This has made fans call for a newer version of the game. Now the Counter Strike 2 Beta has been revealed. The Counter Strike 2 Limited Test was announced and fans are very excited for the chance to play in it. This will be the first time that players will be able to see the new coding and updates to CSGO. Valve developers are treating it as quite the tune-up for the original game.
So far they have revealed a few new aspects to the game. The first is that Smokes will react completely differently. Instead of just sitting as a mass of distraction, it will be able to be dissipated, at least a bit. With gunfire and grenades, players can now create small or big holes in Smokes to be able to see things better.
Also the servers have been updated to make running, shooting and peaking as accurate as possible. This will be a massive change that many may not appreciate right away. It will allow for things to feel as in realtime as possible.
Lastly, they showed off better graphics. Every map and gun has had the lighting and much more changed on it. Checkout the video below.

How to get In
In regards to how to get in, there is now for sure way. Surely there will be drops for CS2 on Twitch at some point but those have not been announced yet. There is certainly the chance that they will never come but that feels unlikely.

Players are selected based on a number of factors deemed important by the Counter-Strike 2 development team, including (but not limited to) recent playtime on Valve official servers, trust factor, and Steam account standing.
How do I know if I’ve been selected for the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test?
If you are chosen to participate in the CS2 Limited Test you will receive a notification on the main menu of CS:GO.
If you receive an invitation select “ENROLL” and begin your download. When the download is complete launch CS:GO and select the “Limited Test” option to play the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test.
How often are players added to the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test?
More players will be added to the Limited Test over time. Keep checking your CS:GO main menu to see if you have received an invite.
How long will the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test last?
Counter-Strike 2 is expected to ship Summer 2023.
