The long-awaited next-generation upgrades for both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will soon be hitting digital stores as Rockstar Games today announced that both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S release will arrive on March 15th.
The new versions of both GTAV and GTA Online will bring “high-end PC visuals” to the next-generation console experience, boasting up to 4k resolution, up to 60 FPS, HDR options, ray tracing, improved textures, and faster loading times
Next-Generation GTA V & GTA Online Coming March 15th
Rockstar Games are also supporting a one-time migration for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players, allowing them to transfer both their GTAV Story progress and GTA Online character progress to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, including across platforms. Starting today, players can visit the Rockstar Games Social Club to begin migrating their Story Mode progress.
Starting today, players can begin transferring their Story Mode progress by uploading a save to the Rockstar Games Social Club. To begin this process, enter GTAV on your current console account and go to the Game tab of the Pause Menu. From there, select the Upload Save Game option. Please note, you can only store one game save per platform at a time and saves will remain available to download for 90 days. Rockstar Games
Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online will be available to purchased digitally on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, through their respective digital stores. Players can begin pre-ordering and pre-loading from March 8th, with a physical release planned in April.
