A new WWE 2K22 leak gives wrestling fans an early look at the game’s PS5 cover art as well as details on how to play it early ahead of release date.
The leak comes via news outlet TechnikNews and shows two versions of WWE 2K22 on PS5 including both the standard and deluxe editions, depicting cover star Rey Mysterio.

What’s more interesting is some of the extra details surrounding this leak, including information on a release date how players can hit the canvas before launch day.
WWE 2K22 will reportedly offer a 3-day early access pass via its deluxe edition which also includes bonus content. Early access goes live on March 8, 2022, pointing to a release date of March 11, 2022.
Those who pay for the pricier version will get season pass DLC as well as The Undertaker Immortal Pack. As the name suggests, this DLC bundles together three personas for The Undertaker while unlocking content for the MyFaction game mode.
One last nugget worth highlighting is an even more premium version of long-awaited sequel. The leak has also unearthed a WWE 2K22 nWo 4-Life Edition though its contents are unknown. We’d guess that it features the base game, deluxe content, and some king of physical merch.
WWE 2K22 comes following the poor reception that WWE 2K20 received which in turn left 2K skipping out on WWE 2K21. Instead, a stop gap release was made through WWE 2K Battlegrounds. When the cancellation of WWE 2K21 was announced, 2K released a statement saying:
We are applying what we’ve learned to the next WWE 2K simulation game with a renewed focus on quality and fun. As part of that commitment, we are extending the production timeline and will not be releasing a WWE 2K simulation game in 2020 (T2 fiscal year 2021). We want to ensure the development team at Visual Concepts can create a great game that will entertain grizzled WWE 2K veterans, as well as newcomers who want to climb through the ropes and step into the ring for the very first time.
