Some of them are behind locked doors and you cannot open those until you get the lock pick spell. This is story related so you can’t rush it unless you rush the main story. It is only about 4-5 hours in though if you want to get started on it early.
Once you get all your tokens, head back to your common room and there will be a large chest that you can put all your coins in. I won’t spoil what is inside but I really liked mine.
