A Gold Coast buyer has purchased a block of land in Mount Warren Park, site unseen after it was named one of Greater Brisbane’s most affordable suburbs to buy a unit in.

Landowner Tamica Sayer was initially born in the area and has seen the growth first-hand.

“There is so much opportunity in Mount Warren Park. The prices have doubled since I remember. I purchased the block of land sight unseen and will build my dream home; it’s a sloping block with fantastic views overlooking Mount Tamborine,” Ms Sayer said.

“I don’t think Mount Warren Park will always be affordable. It’s 30 to 40 minutes from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Being so close to the M1, it certainly is going to change.

“If you research the Logan region, you will find pockets that are beautiful, safe and have a good feel, like anywhere you have areas that have more risk than others.”

Ms Sayer said she hopes the Logan City Council will continue to build up liveability in the area.

“Putting in more restaurants, shopping centres, and things for people to do on the weekends will change the area’s culture and play a key part in making the area more liveable. It was one of the reasons I left the area in my early 20s; there just wasn’t anything to do,” Ms Sayer said.

“If they focus on building up the commercial side of things, we’ll see a lot of change.”

Residential Sales Professional, Aidan Knox from Ray White Marsden said Mount Warren Park was a very desirable area.

“When you look at where it has come from in the last 20 years, it is such a convenient suburb from the school’s shopping centres to the motorway,” Mr Knox said.

“Most buyers in Mount Warren Park are established professionals and young families. The older demographic is moving out, and young families are moving in.

“In 2024, I think prices will increase in the Logan region despite rising rates. So many buyers are out there, and not enough houses for sale.”
