Genshin Impact: How to complete Where Honed Blades Clash
Where Honed Blades Clash is the first mission of Act 1 of the Chiori Story Quest, also known as When They Talk About Tonight. Before you attempt to start it, you need to know that the following requirements are mandatory:
- Adventure Rank 40+
- One Story Key
- Complete Chapter 4, Act 5: Masquerade of the Guilty
Story Keys are necessary to unlock Story Quests and you can get those by completing a total of 8 Daily Commissions after you reach Adventure Rank 26. This means that you need at least two days to prepare for the Chiori Story Quest since Daily Commissions are limited to four per day.
Once you do unlock the Story Quest – and you accept it-, you will need to head out to the northernmost fast travel point in the Court of Fontaine, Fontaine. This is a pretty easy quest in which you will only need to interact with specific characters. Be ready though, there’s a lot of dialogue incoming!
Head towards Chiroriya Boutique and you will see Chiori and Laetitia talking. You will find out Chiori wants to participate in the Fontaine Fashion Week. However, Kirara arrives and tells her that several bandits almost intercepted an incoming shipment with the fabrics Chiori intended to use.
Turns out that an acquaintance of Chiori and Kirara named Uther – a “fellow” fashion designer” – ordered the hit on Chiori’s shipment. With this revelation, you will need to head out and confront him. On the way there, you will encounter Chevreuse, who will join you in your venture.
Move towards the objective until you reach Uther’s location. Chiori will then confront Uther in quite a less-than-peaceful way. Chevreuse will then stop Chiori from stomping her foot on Uther’s face, leaving her with the motivation to search for evidence regarding his involvement with the bandits.
Get back to where all things started – Chioriya Boutique – and talk to Kirara once again and you will complete Where Hones Blades Clash! Be sure to continue Chiori’s Story Quest to get to the bottom of this while also staying at the top of the fashion elite. And in case you were wondering, no, you can’t skip the dialogues in this case.
