Haltian has unveiled RADAR, a cutting-edge wireless sensor designed for precise vehicle detection. The launch marks a significant expansion of Haltian’s IoT sensor portfolio, opening new avenues for its application in diverse settings.

Operational through the measurement of distance via radio wave signals, RADAR provides accurate and reliable identification of vehicle movement.

Real-time data on vehicle occupancy is seamlessly transmitted to the Haltian backend and subsequently to the customer’s application. This collected information empowers organisations to optimise parking space usage, enhance operational efficiency, and bolster safety in vehicle fleet operations.

Pasi Leipälä, the CEO and co-founder of Haltian, emphasised the transformative potential of RADAR: “With the introduction of RADAR, organisations now have a straightforward, cost-effective solution for improving parking operations, reducing environmental impact, and enhancing the overall parking experience.”

The applications of Haltian RADAR extend beyond conventional parking solutions. It finds utility in warehouse loading dock management and measuring parking space utilisation. The scalability of RADAR ensures its adaptability to various settings, addressing the challenges posed by high vehicular traffic locations.

RADAR boasts easy installation, either through robust adhesive tape or installation plates, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. Its retrofittable design enables integration into existing parking spaces or loading docks. The sensor’s resilience to natural interference, such as sunlight, rain, ice, snow, dust, or fog, makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

“Haltian RADAR is a highly scalable sensor solution developed in response to a genuine client need. There simply was no other wireless sensor that met their high requirements,” added Leipälä.

Haltian says RADAR aligns with its mission of supporting clients in making data-driven decisions, contributing to a more sustainable future.

RADAR can also be integrated with the Haltian Empathic Building application. This application visualises available parking spaces on a digital twin, offers comprehensive reports, and allows users to book parking spaces effortlessly.

Haltian RADAR is set to be available globally in Q1 2024.
