Even though FaZe’s current roster is slightly different to the one that had enjoyed so much success in CS2 so far, the core identity of their squad hasn’t changed, and they are still extremely resilient and dangerous. At the BLAST World Final the international powerhouse dispatched of Heroic in their opening match, before coming out on top in an exhilarating and hard-fought game against G2, which netted them their semi-final spot.

The addition of David “frozen” Cernansky into the squad seems to be working wonderfully thus far, with the Slovakian player already looking very comfortable among his new teammates. It will be very interesting to see how he performs against his former team, MOUZ, in such a high-stakes game as the BLAST World Final semi-final.

Despite MOUZ having to play this event with a stand-in, due to frozen’s recent departure from the team, they are still performing at an exceptionally high level. After suffering a narrow defeat in their opening game against G2, the young squad went on an absolute tear, brushing aside Heroic in the elimination match, and completely destroying Cloud9 in the quarter-finals. They seem like a well-oiled machine that is definitely capable of going all the way in Abu Dhabi.

Moreover, some of MOUZ’s individuals have massively stepped up this event, with three of the five members being among the seven highest rated players of the tournament, with those players being Adam “torzsi” Torzsas, Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo, and Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek. If they are able to perform to a similar level in the arena, then they have a great chance at an upset victory.
