Fantasy Football Players to Add Week 11

Date:

Having a good fantasy draft sets a team up really well, but most of the time to win a fantasy football league, acquisitions need to be made during the season. Each week there are several players worth exploring on the waiver wire. Here are fantasy football players to add week 11. (Note: These are best used for standard scoring leagues. All players are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues)

1. Josh Dobbs, QB, Minnesota Vikings

Dobbs has been playing well all season. When he was given the opportunity in Arizona, he played well, but wasn’t rosterable in most cases due to Kyler Murray returning. He had a good debut with Minnesota in week 10 and then showed it wasn’t a fluke in week 11, as he had 268 passing yards, one passing touchdown, 44 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.

In Minnesota, Dobbs has proven that he isn’t a fluke. With Justin Jefferson returning to the lineup soon, Dobbs can be even better. He is averaging 17.5 points per game on the season and around 25 points per game for the Vikings while he’s still learning the playbook. Dobbs’ production may not stay that high, but he is worth adding. He is rostered in 38.9 percent of ESPN leagues.

After a breakout performance in week 9, the Ravens gave Mitchell more opportunities in week 10. The Ravens had a tough game against the Browns, but Mitchell delivered because he found the end zone. He had three rushes for 34 yards and a touchdown. He added a catch for 32 yards.

The backfield still has to work its way out for the Ravens. Mitchell can be added now still and stashed on the bench until he is given more of an opportunity. If another running back in the Ravens’ backfield goes down Mitchell can be started. He is rostered in 23.3 percent of ESPN leagues.

As time moves on, Douglas is becoming more involved in the offense. Even though he was banged up, he was productive for the Patriots in Germany against the Colts. He finished the game with six catches for 84 yards on nine targets.

The Patriots lack a go-to receiver and it looks like Douglas is stepping into that role. While starting him is a week-by-week risk, he is worthy of being on rosters. With injuries and bye weeks piling up, he can be played in a pinch. Currently, he is rostered in 27.2 percent of ESPN leagues.

4. Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers

Doubs is turning into the best and most productive receiver in Green Bay. He has six touchdowns on the season, which is impressive given the offensive struggles for the team. In week 11 he found the end zone again, finishing the game with three catches for 31 yards and a touchdown.

The offense and receiving core hasn’t lived up to expectations this season, but Doubs has played well. He should be on rosters and can be played in certain situations, especially if he keeps finding the end zone. Doubs is rostered in 39.7 percent of ESPN leagues.

5. Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings

Chandler is currently the backup in Minnesota. He hasn’t had much run this season, but Alexander Mattison left week 10 with a concussion. Cam Akers was also lost recently to a torn Achilles. In relief against the Saints, Chandler totaled 45 rushing yards and a touchdown.

There is no report yet whether Mattison will miss time, but Chandler can be added as a short-term option this week. He is likely going to get the bulk of the carries if Mattison does miss time. Chandler is currently rostered in 2.8 percent of ESPN leagues.
