Leaked EA FC 24 player ratings reveal the biggest upgrades of the season

We are still a few weeks away from the official arrival of EA FC 24, but the leaks are pouring in.

The leakers have spilled the beans on EA FC 24’s top players, revealing significant rating changes. Our spotlight today falls on the most substantial upgrades in the game.

EA FC 24 Player Ratings Biggest Upgrades

We will break down the best EA FC 24 player ratings upgrades into four categories. First, we will discuss the goalkeepers, then shift our focus to the outfield players.

Goalkeepers

Borussia Dortmund shot-stopper Gregor Kobel has been rewarded with a +4 ratings upgrade for his excellent 22/23 season. In the 2022/23 season, he achieved a remarkable 74% save rate when facing shots on goal, surpassing his prior best of 68% during his time with Stuttgart in the 2020/21 season. Notably, he was unbeaten in 11 out of 26 Bundesliga matches last season, second only to Mark Flekken of Freiburg (13) and Koen Casteels of Wolfsburg (12) in clean sheets.

André Onana could not keep a shutout in his first four games for Manchester United, but he received a +3 boost for reaching the 2023 Champions League Final with Inter Milan. Aaron Ramsdale, who kept 13 cleansheets for Arsenal last season, received a +2 upgrade.

  • Gregor Kobel (Borussia Dortmund) 87(+4)
  • André Onana (Manchester United) 85 (+3)
  • Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal) 84 (+2)

Defenders

Alex Balde secures the most remarkable EA FC 24 player ratings upgrade among defenders, and it’s entirely merited. This young talent assumed the role of left-back at FC Barcelona, replacing the iconic Jordi Alba. Just before the season, Balde was relatively unknown, even to the most devoted football fans – but that has all changed. He made 33 appearances in La Liga for the Blaugrana last season.

The arrival of Korean center-back Kim Min-jae at Napoli in 2022 turned out to be one of the standout signings of the season. Aged 26, he became an unyielding force in the heart of the defense, playing a pivotal role in Napoli’s Serie A triumph and earning recognition as the league’s top defender. German giants Bayern Munich, therefore, did not hesitate to spend €50 million ($55 million) to sign him this summer.

Previously rated at 79 in FIFA 23, Kim has earned a commendable +5 upgrade, securing his place among the elite center-backs in this year’s game. Interestingly, his rating now surpasses that of Arsenal’s William Saliba, who received a more modest +3 boost.

Saliba, Gabriel, Lisandro Martínez, and Luke Shaw have contributed to the defensive upgrade of Premier League powerhouses Arsenal and Manchester United. Fresh off of a treble-winning season, Manchester City’s Nathan Aké will also get a +3 improvement.

  • Alex Balde (Barcelona) 81(+13)
  • Lisandro Martínez (Manchester United) 84(+3)
  • Luke Shaw (Manchester United) 84(+3)
  • Nathan Aké (Manchester City) 81(+3)
  • Wiliam Saliba (Arsenal) 83(+3)
  • Gabriel (Arsenal) 84(+3)
  • Kim Min Jae (Bayern Munich) 84 (+5)

Midfielders

Chelsea are not having a great time on the pitch, but it’s undeniable that they have made some excellent additions to their squad, particularly in the middle of the park. World Cup winner Enzo Fernández has already caught the eye wearing Chelsea colors. The Argentina midfielder will get a +5 reward, which will take his rating to 83. The Blues’ other midfield recruits Moisés Caicedo and Roméo Lavia will also get significantly higher ratings, but none of the Chelsea midfielders this year, are rated above the 85 mark.

Real Madrid is the go-to club for premium midfield options. While seasoned stars like Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos continue to be valuable assets, their performance levels may not see substantial improvements from their previous versions. Emerging talents like Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde, however, will elevate Real Madrid’s midfield to new heights in EA FC 24.

Jamal Musiala’s rating receives a significant +5 boost, cementing his position as the most skilled dribbler among midfielders. Anticipate both Musiala and Ødegaard commanding high prices for their gold cards, thanks to their coveted 5-star skill ratings.

Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli is another player who deserves a shoutout. The Brazilian youngster will receive an 84 rating in EA FC 24, marking a notable 6-point improvement from his FIFA 23 version.

  • Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich) 86 (+5)
  • Bruno Fernandes Manchester United 88 (+2)
  • Roméo Lavia (Chelsea) 73 (+11)
  • Moisés Caicedo (Chelsea) 80 (+10)
  • Rodri (Manchester City) 89 (+2)
  • Federico Valverde (Real Madrid) 88 (+4)
  • Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid) 86 (+2)
  • Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid) 82 (+3)
  • Kang-in Lee (PSG) 78 (+5)
  • Martin Ødegaard (Arsenal) 87 (+3)
  • Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) 84 (+6)
  • Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool) 81 (+5)
  • Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool) 82 (+3)
  • Gavi (Barcelona) 83 (+4)
  • Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) 86 (+4)
  • Rodrigo Riquelme (Atlético Madrid) 76
  • Enzo Fernández (Chelsea) 83 (+5)

Forwards

It’s beyond doubt that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s upgrade is the most striking in this year’s game. With Napoli relying on him as their linchpin and a 2023 Ballon d’Or nominee, he has soared with a +12 rating boost, elevating him from 74 to 86. On top of that, he now boasts a five-star skill level. His Napoli teammate Victor Osimhen gets a +5 bump.

Marcus Rashford’s exceptional contributions to Manchester United last season lead to a deserving +4 upgrade, elevating his rating to 85. Saka, however, surpasses him with an impressive 86 OVR. Similarly, Erling Haaland, the Premier League’s top scorer, gains 3 rating points compared to FIFA 23, reaching the same level as Kylian Mbappé at 91 OVR.

Antoine Griezmann made a remarkable 5-step advancement. The 32-year-old has rediscovered his form after returning to Atlético Madrid. He bagged 15 goals and 16 assists for Los Rojiblancos in the 22/23 season. The Frenchman will make his EA FC debut with an 88 rating.
