CoD MW3 Season 1 Reloaded – Everything We Know

Date:

Here is everything we know about CoD MW3 Season 1 Reloaded so far

Activision has been adding a lot of content to their latest Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 3, since late December 2023. The game has seen tons of new events like the CODMAS and Vortex War’s Domain. Other than that Season 1 was released with my new updates not so long ago. Coming into 2024, the developers are hoping to continue the pace and add more features, starting with Season 1 Reloaded.

So far not much has been revealed about the update but there have been some announcements about new content in Warzone and multiplayer, like new maps, weapons, game modes, and much more. So let’s take a deep dive into all we know about the Season 1 Reloaded updates.

CoD MW3 Season 1 Reloaded

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be having an all-new update to their first season after release. The update will be named Season 1 Reloaded. It is pretty much another opportunity for Activision to add more content to the game and balance out everything currently available as per player’s requests. It will certainly be much larger than the average update as there be much more to release.

The new update will add features that players have been waiting for since the start of the game alongside some much-needed additions to the various game modes across all platforms. Safe to say that the game will have much more for players to try out after the update comes.

Season 1 Reloaded – Start Date

The release date for Season 1 Reloaded is expected to be on January 17, 2024. Although the date is unconfirmed, from the current Battle Pass, we can see that there is a classified sector that is set to open up on that date. Considering that the date is also somewhat in the middle of the season, it is safe to assume that Season 1 Reloaded will be updated on that date.

Ranked Play

Ranked play and game modes have been a favorite for competitive players who are looking to play in more driven lobbies against aggressive opponents. Therefore many will be happy to know that Ranked will be added with the Season 1 Reloaded update.

Players will be able to compete in the same game modes and maps as the Call of Duty League and will also have Skill Divisions. There will also be additional rewards for playing Ranked and climbing up the various divisions.

New Weapons

So far only two weapons have been said to be announced with the update. These are the TAQ Evolvere LMG and the HRM-9 SMG. There has been no announcement if there will be more guns to be added, but so far the community has been very excited for the new SMG.

New Map –  Rio

The Season 1 Reloaded update will be bringing a new map for 6v6 game modes. The map is called Rio and is said to be in an “upscale shopping center” in Rio de Janeiro. The map will feature mostly short to medium-ranged fights and will have both interior and exterior areas. There are also said to be spots like a covered walkway and the top floor of a garage to act as high ground.

New Game Modes

The update for Season 1 Reloaded will feature 3 new game modes, which are considered fan favorites from previous Call of Duty games. Here are all the game modes set to be released with the update:

  • Infected: One of the most adored modes by classic Call of Duty fans, infected will have a random player spawn as an infected zombie. The infected player will be limited to only melee weapons and cannot access their loadouts. Their task is to kill all the non-infected players. If a non-infected player gets killed then they will turn into an infected and have the same objective. The infected players win if they can turn every player before the time limit ends. The non-infected players win if they can survive from being infected as the time ticks down.
  • Headquarters: Another fan-favorite mode, where players will be split into two teams. One team will try to hold and secure a specific location on the map as long as possible. The defending team will have no respawn. Just like other objective-based game modes currently available, the HQ will rotate over time around the map.
  • Team Gunfight: Team Gunfight is pretty much the same as the normal Gunfight, except it will be 6v6. The game mode will also be played on standard Multiplayer maps. Players will have the same loadout for each round, which will be randomly generated. The loadout will change every round throughout the match. The first team to complete the elimination objective will win.
