Basically, BlockGames users can earn by using the Player Network because they can share their data to help games analyze their individual preferences. This is the primary reason why BlockGames is web3-based, as per the developers, because only blockchain technology allows players to have custody over their data. 

“They then benefit from more personalized experiences. It’s a quid-pro-quo arrangement. The real upside for games is they’re able to quickly identify whales and increase retention through better in-game service provision, aka meaningful rewards,” the platform emphasized, highlighting that it seeks to promote a win-win situation for the players and games. 

BlockGames ID

Within the platform, users can explore new games, keep track of their BlockGames ID, and redeem their credits for rewards including gift cards, digital collectibles, and tokens. BlockGames ID is an NFT-minted player persona of the user, which allows them to receive personalized digital collectibles and in-game experiences as well as activity-based rewards.

“In BlockGames, this data exists as a Soulbound Token (SBT), which cannot be transferred to anyone else. Players take this SBT with them wherever they go. If they want to share it on-chain, they plug into the network and receive rewards for doing so,” stressed Benas Baltramiejūnas, the Player Network’s CEO and co-founder.

As of this writing, BlockGames has two ongoing active rewards programs—the Airdrops Season, which started on December 15, 2023, and Lucky Rolls, which started on February 15, 2024.
