We are thrilled to welcome Jo Chrona as our keynote speaker! Jo is the author of Wayi Wah! Indigenous Pedagogies: An Act of Reconciliation and Anti-Racist Education.

Jo has over 25 years of experience in education as a teacher in both K-12 (secondary) and post-secondary education, an Advisor with the BC Ministry of Education, and a Policy Analyst, then Curriculum Manager, for the First Nations Education Steering Committee in British Columbia.

Keynote Address – Wayi Wah! Intersections Between Digital Learning, Relationship, and Place

The First Peoples Principles of Learning (FPPL), which emphasizes relationship and place, continue to impact the BC education systems as a framework for creating more responsive educational experiences for all learners. What does this mean for digital learning spaces? In this session, Jo uses her experiences in K-12, Indigenous education, and content creation for DL courses to explore this theme.

Add your voice and experience!  The proposal deadline is Nov.30!!
