AI Asmongold may have been one of the very first examples of AI streamers

Date:

AI Asmongold is so popular today, especially on Twitch with a deepfake video. The effect of AI has been seen in Twitch for a while, as in every aspect of our lives. AI-powered content like AI Seinfeld attract a lot of attention, and many discussions about the use of AI are already taking place. While all this is happening, we may have had the pleasure of meeting “AI Asmongold,” one of the first examples of AI streamers we may encounter in the future.

Even more surprisingly, Asmongold responded to his deepfake, who was trying to create a narrative that sounded as real as possible. “Oh my god, that’s so good; it’s so accurate yeah. I don’t know what to say,” said Asmongold.

AI Asmongold: AI is starting to take over Twitch

Videos of the AI Asmongold deepfake, in which the streamer’s avatar says some things that seem out of character, have gone viral on social media. During the stream, AI Asmongold answered questions for Athene AI Show and had a lot to say about cat girls, Dr Pepper, and Starforge Systems.

Even Twitch is not immune to the AI craze, with channels like nothingforever going viral for their humorous AI take on Seinfeld. But it looks like AI has come a long way since then, with custom programs being developed to mimic popular streamers’ speech patterns, inflections, and pace.

Athene has made an artificial intelligence copy of Asmongold. During one of his streams, he engaged the AI in conversation, with questions coming directly from the chat.

As the AI Asmongold deepfake video began, the AI explained how it pretended to be unwell so it could spend the day at home playing World of Warcraft.

“Sup y’all, it’s your boy Asmongold. Instead of starting off the stream with a sword run, I thought I would tell you about the time that I faked sick to stay home from school and play WoW. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was while I was in seventh grade. The day started out like any other day in the 90s. I woke up too godd*mn early and laid in bed until I couldn’t anymore and headed straight for the bathroom.”

It was hilarious when the AI extended the tale by saying Blizzard Entertainment needed to nerf the Beast Mastery Hunter and gave a reason why.

“I had a BM (Beast Mastery Hunter), with a side note, Blizzard needs to nerf BM Hunters because anything that beat a Warrior is dog s**t, dude!”

Twitch is a live-streaming platform focused on video game content, with streams ranging from casual play to professional esports tournaments.

When the AI brought up the streamer’s diet, Asmongold was taken aback, as we do.

“Oh my god!”

Asmongold’s AI wish came true in 5 years

Asmongold stated in December 2017 that he “hopes that AI will evolve to the point where I can design it to respond to videos for me,” so it’s exciting to see how far the field has come since then. Seeing how far AI has come in such a short amount of time, and how it is now possible to construct incredibly realistic AI algorithms that can impersonate actual people is remarkable.

Twitch was founded in 2011 and quickly became popular, leading to its acquisition by Amazon in 2014.

But we must also think about the consequences of this technology. AI could significantly alter many sectors, yet there are also legitimate privacy and ethical worries about this technology. For instance, after AI development has progressed sufficiently, it may be utilized to create deepfakes of humans without their knowledge or permission. There is a risk that this will lead to the proliferation of erroneous information, the invasion of privacy, or all three.

To ensure that AI is used ethically, we must carefully analyze its moral and ethical consequences. As AI develops further, it will be crucial to find a middle ground between utilizing its transformative capabilities and violating individuals’ rights and privacy.

However, it should be reminded that AI Asmongold was not the first “artificial” internet person in our lives.

Virtual influencers

Is there a chance you’ve heard of Lil Miquela, Casas Bahia, or Lu of Magalu before? You’ve probably seen them on various social media platforms, but spoiler alert: they’re not actually human. In case you wonder, these are some of the best virtual influencers of 2022:

Branding-wise, virtual influencers are safer bets than their real-life counterparts. Virtual influencers have become more popular in China due to the negative publicity received by celebrities like singer Wang Leehom and performer Kris Wu. Since virtual influencers rely solely on computer-generated images, they cannot damage a brand’s reputation by associating themselves with it.

Some research has suggested that because Generation Z has grown up with the internet, they have a unique appreciation for online celebrities and role models.

In light of this information, can we say that AI streamers will come? It is too early to answer, but we are sure of these 2 important points:

  • AI fed with accurate data can produce AI Asmongold-like content.
  • GenZ loves the idea of AI publishers
