When Did Fortnite Come Out?

Fortnite Battle Royale was first released on September 26 2017! Although, that isn’t quite the full answer to when did Fortnite come out. For a start, Battle Royale isn’t even the original Fortnite game.  Asking when did Battle Royale Fortnite come out isn’t the same as Fortnite as a whole.

The Battle Royale mode was originally released in September as an extension of the tower defence game, now retitled Fortnite Save the World. However, that game came out a bit earlier, predating the now more popular Battle Royale releasing 25 July 2017.

These are the Fortnite release dates, but if you want to get technical the game was still in an open beta. The game was in an early testing period for fans before the title actually officially released.
