Web3 Innovators at the Forefront of BBC 2023

During the webcast, Mesias extended an open invitation to attend the second BBC, scheduled for November 17 at Bicol University’s College of Engineering Gymnasium in Legazpi City, Albay. Themed “Empowering Industry Innovation Through Blockchain,” the conference aims to explore blockchain’s practical applications beyond cryptocurrencies.

“So, our purpose here is to bring in industry experts as well as their blockchain-based acts to highlight more of the use cases that we have more than crypto and how can we use blockchain technology in our everyday lives,” she stated. 

Mesias highlighted that, in addition to insightful speakers, attendees should look forward to panel discussions on current industry topics. This year’s BBC will introduce a unique feature, the Blockchain City Fair – a digitalized event experience created by Vulcanic Labs.

“I’m inviting everyone here who can join us at this conference. You are very welcome here in Bicol and get to see not only our conference but the beautiful Mount Mayon as well,” she concluded.

Government Support for BBC 2023

BBC 2023 is receiving support from two key government institutions: the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

According to a media release, both departments back the conference to foster blockchain adoption in the Philippines, recognizing its potential to advance technological progress and security.

Notable government figures set to speak at the event include:

“The partnership of these government institutions with BBC 2023 illustrates the government’s belief in the transformational power of blockchain and its dedication to equipping the Philippines for opportunities in the digital age,” the release reads.
