Aisle 9, a renowned synthwave artist and producer known for his unique blend of nostalgic and contemporary electronic sounds, will be the featured guest artist on Episode 14 of Z-GR! Radio, and will debut his upcoming June 7 release ‘City of Dreams’ during the show.

Z-GR! Radio airs weekly on both NEWHD Los Angeles and NEWHD New York, and is curated and hosted by Zero-G Racetrack’s lead vocalist Scot Apathy, who created the show to provide a showcase for emerging and independent artists. While the show features multiple genres, Apathy definitely leans into the Electronic Rock/Synthwave/SynthPop sector, and invites different artists each week to provide instrumental tracks that play during his vocal breaks between songs.

“I realized after a few episodes that using stock music under my breaks was a missed opportunity to shine a light on the artists who create fantastic instrumentals,” states Apathy. “Also, by focusing on one artist per episode, I can play a variety of their material in short bits before spotlighting one of their tracks in full.”

In this case, Aisle 9 will use the opportunity to showcase his latest, “City Of Dreams,” which is scheduled for release on all major streaming platforms on June 7th. Released under his independent label, Rogue Rabbit Records, this highly anticipated track fits Z-GR! Radio’s format perfectly, blending pulsating rhythms with shimmering synths to create a sound that is both timeless and contemporary.

ABOUT AISLE 9

Aisle 9’s career has spanned nearly 3 decades working in the UK mainly as a producer. Working with 100’s of artists from all genres, starting with the trance, rave and festival scene of the late 90’s and moving through playing in original bands in the alt rock and grunge scene of the early 00’s.

For over 16 years Aisle 9 has performed live, extensively as a working guitarist, touring both the UK and Europe with his band Beats Working.

Partly driven on by the pandemic, he has finally returned to producing his own music once again. His influences are as diverse as Mitch Murder, New Order, Tangerine Dream, The Midnight, Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Daft Punk, Orbital and William Orbit to name but a few.

An accomplished songwriter, sound engineer and musician, his music style incorporates lush synths, treated samples, text to speech voices, vocoders, driving bass, melodic guitars and killer grooves. There’s electronica, synthwave, synth pop, space rock, ambient and EDM elements here.

Aisle 9 has released 24 singles across Bandcamp and streaming services. His music has reached well over 300K streams and downloads. As well as his own music he has completed mastering, mixes, remixes and collaborations with other many other artists, such as Thalrex, Bunny X, Just Scott, Marc Matthews, The Safety Word, Future Analog and Rogue FXs to name but a few. Some of these projects have yet to be released and should be out later this year.
