Concerned Ape teased on Twitter what’s to come with the 1.6 update for Stardew Valley. A lot has been listed so what’s coming with the 1.6 update in Stardew Valley?
What In The 1.6 Update?
The following features are currently being developed by Concerned Ape. There isn’t a release date for these features yet, but it’s safe to say that the dev team will make an announcement when everything is ready.
- A new major festival
- Two new mini festivals
- New late-game content, which expands on each of the skill areas.
- New items and crafting recipes.
- Jojo alternatives to some of the end-game quests.
- 100+ new lines of dialogue.
- Winter outfits for the villagers.
- New type of reward for completing billboard requests
- (PC) support for 8-player multiplayer
- Many small additions and adjustments
- New farm type
- New secrets & more
Stardew Valley On Console VS PC
As noted in the patch notes, Only Stardew Valley on PC will receive 8-player support. As it currently stands, this is the only difference between the console version and the PC version of Stardew Valley. It should also be noted that only the PC version has the capability to install mods.
Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, mobile devices, and the PlayStation Vita, and the 1.6 update is in development.
