Temporary work zones were set up following the unprecedented February/March floods in Lismore this year to assist Lismor businesses to ‘get back on its feet’.
The ‘Work Zones’ were for tradespeople ‘to facilitate the reconstruction and recovery process following the floods’ and to assist tradespeople undertake critical rebuilding works.
The current temporary work zones for parking in the CBD will be removed from January and will be replaced with the previous standard parking arrangements, including timed parking.
‘Beginning early January, the temporary “work zone” signage will be progressively removed from the CBD,’ said Lismore Council in a press release.
‘Tradespeople will continue to have access to Council’s online permit system, which enables free parking throughout the CBD.’
