The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2022 Fiesta Bowl.
TCU Horned Frogs Draft Prospects
Quentin Johnston, WR
Johnston has played at TCU for three seasons and improved each year. He has 108 catches for 2,024 yards and 13 touchdowns in his career. This season, Johnston has registered 53 catches for 903 yard and five touchdowns in 12 games played.
He stands at 6-foot-4 and 193 pounds, which makes him a mismatch for opposing corners. To go with his size, Johnston has solid speed, which helps him create big plays. He won’t be the quickest or most agile player in the NFL, but he has the tools to be a good receiver.
Projected Draft Range: First Round Pick
Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, CB
Hodges-Tomlinson followed in his Uncle Ladanian Tomlinson’s shoes by joining TCU, where he has been for four seasons. He has 117 total tackles, five interceptions and 32 passes defended in his career. This season, he has registered 42 total tackles, three interceptions on 11 passes defended.
At 5-foot-9 and 177 pounds, Tomlinson is below the average size for an NFL cornerback. His size means that he will likely need to move to the slot, but he has been successful there. Hodges-Tomlinson has shown good ball skills in his career.

Michigan Wolverines Draft Prospects
D.J. Turner, CB
Turner has been with Michigan for four seasons, but has really made an impact in the last two. He has 66 total tackles, three interceptions and 17 passes defended in his career. This season, Turner has tallied 33 tackles, one interception and 10 passes defended.
He will need to add some mass to his 6-foot 180-pound frame to hold up against bigger receivers. Turner can play good man coverage at the next level, which will make him a fit for a bunch of different teams. He won’t offer much in run support, but he does cover well.
Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Third Round Pick
Ryan Hayes, OT
Hayes joined the Michigan program in 2018 and did not play. He started two games in 2019 and two games at left tackle in 2020. In 2021, he was the full-time starter at left tackle and made the Second Team All-Big Ten team (coaches). He did the same thing at left tackle for the Wolverines during the 2022 season.
At 6-foot-7 and 305 pounds, Hayes has good size for an NFL offensive tackle. He has specifically shown to be a good run blocker for Michigan, but he hasn’t been too bad at pass blocking either. Hayes may struggle with flexible edge rushers at the next level.
Projected Draft Range: Third Round Pick-Fifth Round Pick
