FindSatoshi Lab (FSL), the developer of the popular move-to-earn game Stepn, has introduced a new social lifestyle game called Stepn Go (https://go.stepn.com/). 

They also announced a giveaway of STEPN Go Sneakers to 6,000 random $GMT holders, FSL’s ecosystem token.

Stepn Go Launch

For FSL, STEPN Go is designed to enhance users’ lifestyles by incorporating social elements into a gamified approach. Users can earn rewards while on their fitness journey.

STEPN Go aims to keep users connected with friends and family while maintaining an active lifestyle to earn cryptocurrencies and NFTs, which can be sold in secondary markets.

Despite similarities to STEPN, where users earn crypto by walking, jogging, or running, FSL clarified that STEPN and STEPN Go are distinct applications.

“We are not abandoning STEPN. STEPN remains a valuable and functioning platform, ensuring both apps can thrive simultaneously, each serving unique yet complementary purposes within our ecosystem,” FSL stated.

Stepn Go Features

STEPN Go introduces the “Haus System,” allowing users without sneakers to borrow them and earn rewards. The NFT sneakers can be lent to anyone.

The app will also have its own utility token, $GGT, used for upgrading sneakers and other in-game items, as well as qualifying for in-app drops.

$GGT earnings are affected by the following factors:

• Sneaker type, level, efficiency attribute value, quality.
• Efficiency gem level and corresponding socket quality.
• Energy consumed.
• Fitness level.

In-app drops are facilitated by FSL ID, requiring only an email and activation code to start playing. FSL ID aims to be the “biggest Web3 Universal Login and Loyalty Program.”

Mystery Box

One of the in-app drops is the Mystery Box, an item with a set timer. It can be opened once the timer expires or sped up using $GGT. Only users with uncommon or higher-quality sneakers can earn a Mystery Box.

Mystery Boxes come in 10 levels, where each can only drop Level 1 Raw Stones, which are the precursors of Gems, in different types, such as:

• Efficiency Raw Stone
• Luck Raw Stone
• Charm Raw Stone
• Karma Raw Stone
• Mystery Raw Stone

Gems increase a sneaker’s attribute when inserted into a corresponding socket. While inserting a Gem is free once the socket is unlocked, removing a Gem requires burning $GGT.

Gems

There are four types of Gems, each representing a different Attribute:

• Yellow: Efficiency
• Blue: Luck
• Pink: Charm
• Green: Karma

Daily Energy Cap

Lastly, there will also be a daily energy cap. To be able to have energy, users need to burn sneakers: 

• Burn 1 Common Sneaker: 90 Energy Cap per day
• Burn 1 Uncommon Sneaker: 450 Energy Cap per day
• Burn 1 Rare Sneaker: 2,250 Energy Cap per day
• Burn 1 Epic Sneaker: 11,250 Energy Cap per day
• Burn 1 Legendary Sneaker: 56,250 Energy Cap per day

The fitness level described above is a 14-day journey mimicking real-life fluctuations in $GGT, Mystery Boxes, PvP, and item fragment earnings. Higher fitness levels yield higher rewards.

Additional Features

STEPN Go introduces new features for more fun and engagement:

• 3D Avatar: Users can customize their avatar’s appearance. The outfits needed are NFTs with rarities.
• Player-vs-Player (PvP) Mode: Users compete to earn from the Schadenfreude Pool. To earn, users must move using sneakers with high karma.

Schadenfreude Pool Sources

The Schadenfreude Pool accumulates earnings from the following sources:

• Frozen earnings from flagged accounts
• Reduced earnings from inactive users
• Reduced host earnings for failing to use 2 Energy per day
• $GMT in the Decentralized Liquidity Pool

Social Features

Thirdly, Stepn Go also boasts social features, including: 

• Interactive Map Visibility: Users can turn on visibility, allowing others to see their 3D Avatars and outfits.
• Chat Box: Users can interact with others through a Chat Box on the Map.
• Running Invitations: Users can invite others for exercise sessions by burning $GGT. Penalties apply for no-shows.
• Friendship and Communication: Users can add friends and chat.
• Shake and Match: Users can shake their phone to match with someone of similar exercise intensity for joint running sessions.

The app also includes an events section for IRL meetups and online shows, where users can earn rewards.. 

Stepn Go Airdrop

STEPN Go will continue to use the Genesis Sneaker System from STEPN, sharing a pool capped at 20,000 sneakers.

Alpha Draw Campaign

It will be a 30-day ‌campaign that will give away 6,000 sneakers that can be used for the Alpha Testing phase of the app.

To join:

1. Obtain tickets by time-locking $GMT until May 2028: Each 5 $GMT locked gives two tickets: one Alpha Draw Round Ticket and one Extra Round Ticket.
2. Participate in Alpha Draw rounds: Enter the Alpha Draw Round and the Extra Round. Users who participated in the past 12 rounds are automatically enrolled in the Extra Round.
3. Scratch the ticket: After each Alpha Round, scratch the ticket to reveal prizes:
   • One Uncommon Collectible Sticker Set (6 Stickers)
   • One Rare Collectible Sticker Set (12 Stickers)
   • One Epic Collectible Sticker Set (24 Stickers)
   • Three Soul-Bound STEPN Go Shoe Boxes

But while the Alpha Draw has not yet started, FSL has promised to give away sneakers to those who will participate in their contests on X (https://x.com/Stepnofficial/) and Discord (https://discord.gg/stepngo). 

In terms of airdrops, FSL has hosted Stepn airdrop campaigns ‌three times already. 

• March 2022: Rewarded Genesis Sneakers holders on the BNB Chain
• February 2023: Rewarded players based on asset holding duration
• March: Trailblazer Airdrop with a prize pool of 100 million $GMT, valued at approximately $30 million
