This article is a tutorial for Granblue Fantasy Relink co-op features and how to play online

The brand new action RPG game Granblue Fantasy: Relink has a colorful world and a combat system that is sure to bring players who are into this genre in one place. That’s exactly why we’re here to show you how to access the game’s co-op features and everything multiplayer related so that you can enjoy this beautiful adventure with your friends and loved ones.

The game already has a very challenging and interactive single-player campaign, so adding a multiplayer option was a great way to keep things constantly fresh in the game and to keep the player base sticking around for more. With that being said, let’s take a look at how you can start the co-op grind.

Granblue Fantasy Relink Co-op Unlocked

You can unlock co-op as soon as you finish the prologue tutorial of Granblue Fantasy: Relink. After doing so, go to the Quest Counter in Folca, which is where you can initiate all your quests in the game, both offline and online. The village of Folca is the first main hub you’ll visit so it’s impossible to miss. Once you reach the counter, you can either host a co-op session or join an online session by searching for players.

Hosting a Co-op Session

If you want to be the leader and host an online session with your friends, then simply follow the steps shown below:

• Interact with the person behind the Quest Counter.
• Select Create an Online Session.
• Choose the Region you want to play in.
• Turn on the Spoiler Prevention setting (if you want to).
• Click on Invite to bring up to 3 other players in the game. Make sure you have their ID so that you can send them the invite. You can also choose to play with random people if you want.
• Click on Undertake Quest when everything is set up and ready to go.
• Hit either the Open or Closed option and initiate the quest; the Open option will make sure that everyone can see your party and join whenever they want, whereas leaving your party Closed will make sure your party is not visible to anyone.
• Lastly, proceed through the quest objectives with your friends!

Joining a Co-op Session

On the other hand, if you would like to join an ongoing session amongst other players, then go through the following steps:

• Interact with the person behind the Quest Counter.
• Select Search for Online Sessions.
• Select either Search by Criteria, Search Friends List or Enter Session ID to fine-tune your searching preferences, play with your friends, or join a private session, respectively.
• Enter the session and finish the objectives with your friends.

Co-op in this game is extremely fun but it can be challenging at the same time, so make sure you have good equipment and a reasonably high level to ensure a good time with your loved ones.

It’s also important to note that cross-play does not exist in Granblue Fantasy: Relink yet, so if your friends play on a different platform than you do, they can’t join you unfortunately. Which is why we hope it’s a feature they add in the future as it will surely bring more people together to enjoy the game!
