Not the first big update of this season…
We believe there are just a few days until the first major update of Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1 to drop very soon although it’s not yet confirmed as being on the staging servers. Fortnite Update 19.01 dropped a few weeks ago and ended up being quite a surprise with the content it added.
It brought us Winterfest 2021 and the reveal of the Spider-Man: No Way Home skins. It even came with downtime which is strange for a smaller update. However, we’re looking forward to Update 19.10 and what it will bring us over the festive period.

Fortnite Update 19.10 Release Date & Time
We are expecting Fortnite Update 19.10 to drop on Tuesday, 11 January meaning there is just a few days to go! Server downtime is also expected and that should occur at 09:00 GMT / 04:00 EST / 01:00 PST. Confirmation of this should arrive shortly before the update.

Matchmaking should be disabled around 30 minutes prior to this which will allow all active games to be finished prior to the downtime commencing.
It is entirely possible, however, that 19.10 could come a week earlier on Tuesday, 4 January if the Epic team are back from the holiday break.
What to Expect?
It’s actually quite hard to know what Fortnite Update 19.10 will bring us so soon after another big update. The early season updates tend to lean more towards optimization, tweaks and balancing issues rather than content dumps.
We did expect to see something uploaded in relation to a Christmas Day event. There is also the possibility that we get The Matrix skins decrypted and sneak a closer look at the rumoured Neo & Trinity skins. Along the same lines, the Boba Fett content that is set to go live on December 24/25 would also be revealed. It turns out that most of this content was added as part of 19.01/
Beyond this, we don’t expect a huge amount to come out of this particular Fortnite Update. Perhaps now that we’re in a new year and beyond, things will get a lot spicier! That being said, Epic could have something up their sleeve that even the leakers don’t know about, so keep your eyes peeled and we’ll have all the updates right here for you!
