Fantasy Football Defenses to Stream Week 11

Date:

One of the biggest strategies in fantasy football is streaming defenses. Each week owners will look at matchups and make waiver wire acquisitions to find their starting defense. Here are fantasy football defenses to stream week 11. (Note: All defenses mentioned are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues. Stats from before Monday Night Football)

1. Detroit Lions

The Lions have a solid fantasy defense that ranks 19th at 5.9 points per game. They have three double-digit scoring performances with their most recent being in week 8 against the Raiders. Detroit has three negative-scoring games, with the latest one being this past week against the Chargers.

In week 11, the Lions take on the Chicago Bears. The Bears score 19.4 points per game. Justin Fields has been hurt and Tyson Bagent has been playing quarterback. Even if Fields returns, he will not be 100 percent with a thumb injury. The Lions can limit the Bears and get a big win. They are rostered in 23.9 percent of ESPN leagues.

2. Miami Dolphins

Miami has a solid fantasy defense scoring 6.1 points per game and ranking 18th. They have three games when they scored double-digit points, which came against the Patriots, Giants and Eagles. The Dolphins have scored negative points twice, against the Chargers and Bills.

They will be matching up with the Las Vegas Raiders in week 11. Las Vegas has turned things over to Aidan O’Connell at quarterback. Although the rookie looked good in preseason, the Raiders are simplifying things and running the ball. They scored 16 points against the Jets in week 10 and average just 17.2 points per game on the season. Miami is rostered in 49.9 percent of ESPN leagues.

3. Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota has had a good fantasy defense this season, ranking seventh at 7.6 points per game. They have three double-digit scoring performances this season, with their best being a 22-point game against the Bears. On the other side, they have just one negative scoring game on the season.

This week the Vikings are playing the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are scoring 17.5 points per game this season. They will also be playing on a short week after playing the Bills on Monday Night Football. Minnesota has been racking up the interceptions the last few weeks and can have another great performance. The Vikings are rostered in just 23.9 percent of ESPN leagues.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville has played well defensively this season, ranking 12th at 7.3 points per game. They have four double-digit scoring games, with the highest being a 21-point outing against the Falcons. The Jaguars have tallied two negative scoring games, with the most recent coming in week 10 against the 49ers.

In week 11 the Jaguars are playing the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee has a rookie quarterback in Will Levis who has shown flashes, but is still inconsistent. The Titans score just 17.9 points per game. Jacksonville can rebound from a bad performance and have a good game against the Titans. The Jaguars are rostered in just 23.4 percent of ESPN leagues.

5. Washington Commanders

Washington has had a bad fantasy season, ranking last in the league at 3.0 points per game. They have one double-digit scoring performance, which came in week 1 against the Cardinals. The Commanders have three negative-scoring games, with the latest being against the Seahawks in week 10.

This week the Commanders will play the New York Giants. The Giants have been struggling with injuries at the quarterback position with Tommy DeVito getting time recently. If he is starting, the Commanders despite their low-ranking can have a good game. They are rostered in 20.2 percent of ESPN leagues.
