The full lineup for Evo 2024 – the biggest fighting event of the year – was just announced during a special broadcast.
Switch will have a couple of games represented with Mortal Kombat 1 and Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes. Other titles include Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear: Strive, Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising and The King of Fighters XV. Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike will be the Throwback Title.
Some changes for Evo were also announced. There’ll be a new venue at the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, three full days in the convention hall with access to the show floor and the Arena with one badge, and every main game will have its Finals played out in the Arena.
Worth noting that this marks another year without Super Smash Bros. appearing in any fashion. The series used to be a big part of Evo, but Melee and Ultimate were absent in 2022 and 2023 as well. Sony now owns Evo and once that move happened, Nintendo said it would “continue to assess Evo, and other opportunities, as we plan for future online and offline Super Smash Bros. tournament activity.”
Evo 2024 will run between July 19 and July 21. You can find the official website here for more information about the event.
