The first CIS and Oceania RMR events of 2021 have been unveiled on Friday and will be hosted by the Russian Esports Federation (RESF) with the support of Epic Sports Events – known for organizing the EPICENTER tournament series.
Both tournaments will provide RMR points that will help teams qualify for the PGL Stockholm Major, as well as prize money — $40,000 for CIS and $10,000 for Oceania.
The Major-qualifying tournaments will take place in May
The action in CIS starts with open qualifiers on May 8 (signups here), with the closed qualifier stage following on May 9-12. The eight best closed qualifier teams will join the invited squads at the main event.
The best-performing teams in the RMR circuit last year have already secured spots in the main stage (Natus Vincere, Spirit, Nemiga, Virtus.pro), while the organizer handed invites to four more teams, including current No. 1 Gambit and rising squad EPG Family.
A total of 16 teams will compete in the Swiss groups of the EPIC League CIS RMR on May 12-23, with an eight-team double-elimination bracket following on May 24-30.

Details regarding EPIC League Oceania RMR are limited, but the organizers have revealed that the open qualifier will take place on May 23, with the playoff stage scheduled for May 23-30. More details are expected early next month.
