Dying Light 2’s Final Developer Video Shows off Co-op and More

Date:

Dying Light 2-min

Dying Light 2’s sixth and final “Dying 2 Know” video is here, offering a glimpse of co-op mode and more.

Why final? Because Dying Light 2 Stay Human is out this February 4th, meaning there’s less than three weeks before you can parkour your way around a bandit and zombie-filled post-apocalyptic world. The Dying 2 Know series has, video by video, been diving into the world of Dying Light 2, drip-feeding viewers information about the game.

This last video, fronted by streamer Leah Alexander and voice actor Jonah Scott (who voices Dying Light 2’s protagonist) is nearly twenty minutes long.  A lot of the video is the hosts just interacting with each other and hyping up the game (as you might expect), but there are a few pieces of in-game footage, two of which are worth checking out.

Firstly, the video offers a glimpse of the co-op mode in action, with a team of four ziplining into action, ready to take the fight to anyone who crosses their path. It looks very, very cool and we’re definitely going to be sharing our Dying Light 2 experience. That said, based on our time with other co-op games, one player will decide to go their own way and another will keep falling off buildings.

The second useful chunk (we’ve already covered The Reason trailer here) offers a glimpse at the various versions of the game in action, including the PlayStation 4 version. The latter’s appearance is particularly important as, due to the lack of last-gen footage, a few people were wondering if we were looking at a Cyberpunk 2077 situation.

In other words, they were worried that the game would be fine on PC and new-gen consoles but would perform very poorly on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Thankfully, the PlayStation 4 version looks to run well and, assuming that’s the norm, there should be nothing to worry about.

You can check out the full video above. Dying Light 2 Stay Human is out this February 4th, on the Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch, the latter via cloud gaming.
