Federico Travella is a seasoned tech entrepreneur and the Founder & Executive Chairman of Novicap. Federico is a passionate advocate of entrepreneurship and a mentor to many entrepreneurs. He has also been an advisor to the EU Commission on its innovation and entrepreneurship agenda and is a recognized thought leader in the fields of venture capital, trade finance, and fintech.
Based in Barcelona, Novicap provides end-to-end working capital solutions to SMEs, mid-market corporates, and public administrations. For seven years, Federico served as the fintech company’s CEO, during which time Novicap won numerous awards like the Alternative Finance Provider of the Year, SME Finance Provider of the Year, and was listed for three consecutive years in the Financial Times’ FT1000 list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies. Today, Novicap supports thousands of businesses to help them deliver impact for their stakeholders.
Vicky took the role of CFO for Preply in 2022, tasked with leading the company into its next stage of growth. Previous to this, she was the Chief Experience Officer at Vestiaire Collective and had prior experience as the CFO at Lazada e-Logistics. Vicky leverages many years of working in the financial realm, building expertise with both startup and corporate players.
Founded in 2012, Preply is a global language-learning marketplace that has taken the world by storm. Currently, it connects over 50k tutors with millions of learners right across the world. The scale-up is on a mission to shape a more effective approach to learning, that combines the engagement of a teacher with the accessibility and personalisation of digital tools.
Pedro Monteiro de Barros is the SVP of Finance at Remote. In his role, Pedro has scaled up Remote’s finance team to manage the rapid global expansion of the business. He is an expert in analyzing financial performance for budgeting and forecasting, managing all accounting operations, and providing strategic guidance to accelerate international expansion. He started his career in investment banking and strategy in technology, media and telecommunications.
