Date:

All BetBoom Team members have gotten US visas for attending the TI12

BetBoom Team have announced on Twitter that each member of their squad had successfully acquired visas for the United States (US), therefore they will be able to attend The International 12 (TI12) in Seattle later this year with their full contingent.

The team’s successful acquisition of visas for TI in the US comes as a big relief for the team and their fans, considering the intricacies players from Russia typically encounter while applying for US visas. Team BetBoom manager Luka “Lukawa” Nasuashvili had expressed doubts over getting visas for the US after the team secured TI12 qualification.

Team BetBoom’s Journey To TI12 Was An Eventful One

Securing a spot at TI12 was no easy task for BetBoom, as they confronted a critical moment of uncertainty during the Bali Major 2023. The team faced an unfortunate controversy surrounding their offlaner, Pure, which not only resulted in the player’s disqualification but also forced them into the lower bracket.

The fate of BetBoom’s qualification for TI12 teetered on the outcome of Quest Esports’ performance at the event. When Quest Esports fell short of a top-two finish, BetBoom seized the lifeline by the slimmest of margins. They grabbed the last available TI12 direct invitation spot through the DPC rankings.

Why Was Team BetBoom Worried About Getting US Visas?

The process of obtaining US visas for players willing to participate in Esports events could be intricate and demanding. There could be varying levels of difficulty involved depending on their country of origin.

Sadly, the visa application process often presents substantial obstacles, leading to the unfortunate circumstance where several players are unable to obtain their visas within time and miss out on participating in their desired competitions.

The visa process carries even greater significance for players hailing from Russia, the BetBoom Team players, for instance. Waiting for the visa approval, therefore, can take a severe mental toll on Russian Esports athletes ahead of big events held in the US.

BetBoom’s recent announcement sets the stage for a powerful presence at TI12, where they are expected to unleash their full potential. Drawing from their impressive performances in DreamLeague Season 20 and the Bali Major Group Stages, the team stands as a Dark Horse in the TI12 title equation.
