Here are some of the Best Ship Loadout in Skull and Bones that will help you decimate any ship that comes across your path

Skull and Bones is the perfect game to scratch that pirate itch you’ve had since Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. While it has had some rocky reviews so far, there are a pretty sizable number of players who are enjoying this game.

What makes this game special is the way you can customize different ships and truly make them your own. There’s no one done-and-dusted loadout here. You can experiment with different weapons and ships to see what clicks.

That being said, if you don’t want to mess around too much, there are some builds that are just plain better than others. So, if you’re having trouble in the late-game stage of your pirate adventure, these loadouts might be exactly what you’re looking for.

So, without further ado, let’s look at a couple of the top ship loadouts that you can use in Skull and Bones!

Skull and Bones Currently has ten different ships available that you can choose for your adventure. However, near the end of the game, people only use one of the four ships on the bottom row: Padewakang, Brigantine, Sambuk, and Snow. These four ships are a higher level and allow you to switch up your loadout depending on your playstyle.

With that said, let’s take a look at the most popular loadout for each of these ships:

1. Pyromaniac Sambuk

The Sambuk is not the fastest ship in the game. But it deals fire DPS, has five furniture slots, and four broadside gun ports. During the end game, you need to tackle a lot of enemy ships, and the fire DPS of the Sambuk comes in handy in those situations.

That’s why the Pyromaniac Sambuk loadout is one of the most popular ones available in the game. With the Blue Specter weapon placed at the bow, you’ll be able to chase down enemy boats and deal insane amounts of damage.

On the broadside, Fire Long Gun III can deal with extra fire damage. However, you don’t want to rely on them too much since their reload speed is pretty slow. Our main damage dealer is the Blue Specter at the bow.

Fire Bombard III at the ship’s stern helps you deal damage when you’re fleeing from the enemy ship. And finally, the Rocket III auxiliary weapon can deal massive fire damage and ensure the enemy ship remains burning.

Weapon Loadout:

  • Bow: Blue Specter (Enhanced Sea Fire)
  • Stern: Fire Bombard III (Enhanced Bombard)
  • Broadsides: Fire Long Gun III (Enhanced Long Gun)
  • Auxiliary: Rocket III (Rocket)

2. Hullbreaker Brigantine

The Brigantine boasts the highest sail speed of all the ships in Skull and Bones. It also has five furniture slots and four broadside gunports, making it an excellent choice for those who want a faster playstyle.

That’s exactly what the Hullbreaker Brigantine build excels at! This loadout is perfect if you want to chase down enemy ships, ramming them down. And as a bonus, it also has a decent bit of firepower for those long-winded naval battles.

The Scurlock’s Long Nines at the bow gives you excellent range and reload time with the ship. It’s the perfect pursuit weapon that lets you manage the enemy’s weak points before you go in for the ram.

The combination of Rahma’s Legacy on the stern and Flooding Demi-cannon III on the broadside slots lets you inflict massive flooding and slow on the enemy ships. As a result, repositioning for subsequent ramming attacks becomes extremely easy with this loadout.

With the Leopold III equipped in the auxiliary slot, you also get a nice AOE attack that also deals flooding damage.

Weapon Loadout:

  • Bow: Scurlock’s Long Nines (Enhanced Long Gun)
  • Stern: Rahma’s Legacy (Enhanced Torpedo)
  • Broadside: Flooding Demi-cannons III (Enhanced Demi-cannon)
  • Auxiliary: Leopold III (Enhanced Rocket)

3. Bombardier Padewakang

The Padewakang is a slow ship that specializes in explosive DPS. And if you like plundering settlements and military bases, this ship is arguably the best one for the job. However, it only has four furniture slots and three broadside gun ports, which makes it slightly weaker than the other two ships we mentioned above.

That being said, the Detonate perk in the ship is pretty useful for dealing with massive structural DPS. With Dardanelles Gun placed at the bow, you’ll be able to take down tower settlements with little to no hassle.

The Basilisk III gun at the broadside slot lets you snipe the weak spots in the settlements, and the Dardanelles Gun adds further tower damage. Finally, The Termites III auxiliary weapon offers bonus tower damage, and their high angle of aim makes it easier to take down structures.

This loadout is designed to plunder, and for open naval combat, this might not be the best choice.

Weapon Loadout:

  • Bow: Dardanelles Gun (Enhanced Bombard)
  • Stern: Dardanelles Gun (Enhanced Bombard)
  • Broadsides: Basilisk III (Enhanced Culverin)
  • Auxiliary: The Termites III (Enhanced Rocket)

4. Vanguard Snow

The Snow is one of the tankiest ships in the game at the moment. With the highest Brace Strength in the game, this ship is the perfect pick if you want to make sure you can soak up any damage the enemies throw at you. Its slow speed, four furniture slots, and three broadside gun ports are its only weaknesses.

The idea of the Vanguard Snow build is that you’ll keep the enemy’s attention on yourself while your allies become the damage dealers. It’s a support loadout that doesn’t deal too much damage by itself. So, it doesn’t work that well if you’re playing the game solo.

At the bow, the Scurlock’s Long Nines gun lets you snipe enemies from far away. And Rahma’s Legacy at the stern helps take down smaller ships with its massive damage.

Culverin V at the broadside slot does decent damage and has a nice bit of range. Finally, Rocket III at the auxiliary slot deals burning damage with its fast volley of projectiles.

Weapon Loadout:

  • Bow: Scurlock’s Long Nines (Enhanced Long Gun)
  • Stern: Rahma’s Legacy (Enhanced Torpedo)
  • Broadsides: Culverin V (Culverin)
  • Auxiliary: Rocket III (Rocket)

So, Which Loadout is the Best?

Frankly, it all depends on how you want to play the game. For the end game, the two best ships, in our opinion, are the Brigantine and the Sambuk. So, if you want to make the late game easier, going with these two ships might be the best idea.

However, the Padewakang and the Snow aren’t bad ships either, and with the right furniture and weapon setups, you’ll get a decent bit of use out of them. Don’t be afraid to experiment with your builds and loadouts, and go with whichever one feels most akin to your playstyle. Good luck!
