Backpack Battles is a game created by PlayWithFurcifer that was released officially on March 8, 2024. It is a strategy-based inventory management auto battler game where damaging your opponent is the main objective. Naturally, this makes the Melee Weapons one of the most important items.

One of the Melee weapons in the game is the Villain Sword. This Melee Weapon belongs to the Dark class of items. Thus, without further ado, here is a complete guide on the Backpack Battles Villain Sword with how to get it and use it properly during a battle.

Backpack Battles Villain Sword: What Is This Weapon?

As mentioned earlier, the Backpack Battles Villain Sword is a Melee Weapon in the game. This Melee weapon belongs to the Dark class of items which includes a variety of items including more Melee Weapons. It is also a neutral item, meaning you can use it with any of the four classes in the game. The Villain Sword is specifically an item that is considered corrupted, like the rest of the Dark class of items. The Villain Sword does not have to be crafted and instead can be purchased directly from the shop.

Here are all the details of the Backpack Battles Villain Sword:

  • Item Effect: Having the weapon makes all the Star Melee Weapons in your inventory deal -2 damage. However, the Villain Sword itself deals +4 damage for each Star Melee Weapon in your inventory.

  • Rarity Level: Unique
  • Cost: 11 Gold
  • Damage: 2-4 overall and 2.3 per second.
  • Stamina Cost: 0.7 overall and 0.5 per second.
  • Hit Accuracy: 90%

Best Villain Sword Build

Now that you know everything that there is to know about the Backpack Battles Villain Sword, you need to learn how to use the weapon properly. Of course, the efficiency and proper utilization of any item in the game can only be done through the perfect build to enhance its effects. As mentioned before, the Villain Sword is a Dark class of Melee Weapon. However, to create a build with the Villain Sword, you need to focus more on grid placement and getting more Melee Weapons while maintaining stamina.

The Villain Sword’s grid placement of Stars is in the shape of a diamond, with three stars on each side. As explained in the effects, each of the Star Melee Weapons in your inventory deals -2 damage. However, for each of those Star Melee Weapons in your inventory, the Sword deals +4 damage. This creates an amazing opportunity to stack up weapons as efficiently as possible and maximize the damage stacks.

Thus, for weapons, you can pretty much use any type of Melee Weapon you want in synergy with the Villain Sword. However, try and avoid bigger weapons like the Impractically Large Greatsword and Busted Blade. The Thorn Whip and Crossblades are also quite large, so it would definitely be best to avoid them. Using Ripsaw Blades, Falcon Blades and the Hero Longsword is a viable option, but it is still gonna hard to place them properly in the grid.

For this reason, the best and meta build for the Villain Sword is with Daggers and two to three high-impact Melee Weapons. Daggers only take up two grid slots and deal a decent amount of damage. Not only that, but Daggers also have a variety of types including Neutral ones and even class specific ones which have amazing effects overall.

For stamina enhancement, invest in Bananas and Strong Heroic Potions. The Banana is a type of Food item that can be purchased from the shop for 3 Gold. With the fruit, every 5 seconds you heal for 4 HP and regenerate 1 Stamina, which is what we really want. Other than that, it triggers 10% faster for each Star Food item in your inventory of a different type i.e. not the Banana.

As for the Strong Heroic Potion, it has to be crafted by combining a basic Heroic Potion with a Banana for a total cost of 9 (6 + 3) Gold. When you run out of Stamina, consume this potion to regenerate 4 Stamina and gain 1 Empower buff stack in an instant. This will be extremely helpful when you have so many Melee Weapons in your inventory attacking one after the other.

As for Armor, you can go for the Corrupted Armor, which is crafted by combining the Holy Armor with the Corrupted Crystal for a total cost of 20 (13+7) Gold. The Corrupted Armor makes the Star Holy Items in your inventory Dark and gives you 70 Block at the start of the battle. Not only that, but you also gain a 10% chance for each Star Dark item in your inventory to protect debuff stacks on your opponent from being cleansed and every 3s you cleanse 2 debuff stacks from yourself and inflict them on your opponent.

For Healing, you can invest in some Strong Health Potions. It is crafted by combining the basic Health Potion with the Healing Herbs for a total cost of 8 (4 + 4) Gold. When your Health drops below 50%, consume this potion and heal for 18 HP and gain 2 Regeneration buff stacks alongside cleansing 4 Poison debuff stacks from yourself. You can also have one or two Healing Herbs in your inventory, to gain some Regeneration buff stacks which will regenerate 1 Health per buff stack every 2 seconds.

One more thing you can do is get the Box of Riches to gain gemstones for all your different Melee Weapons, including the Villain Sword. The Box of Riches can be purchased from the shop for 5 Gold and it gives you a few random gemstones after every battle and gemstones also show up in the shop. The gemstone varieties include Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire and Topaz, which all have different effects when equipped on Melee Weapons and Armor items.

Other than these specific items, feel free to mix and match with any other items. Use other Potions for buffs, food items and vice versa to optimize your build however you’d like to support the amazing Backpack Battles Villain Sword. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that items in your inventory need to enhance or complement each other’s effects, not hinder or cancel them. Thus, ensure that the extra items you get do not reduce the Villain Sword’s damage or any other item’s effects. The Corrupted Crystal, Lump of Coal, Burning Coal and Tim are also gemstones with amazing effects.

With that, enjoy your time playing with the amazing Backpack Battles Villain Sword and create the best build with it to destroy your opponents within seconds during a battle.
