Backpack Battles, a game release developed by PlayWithFurcifer has finally gotten its full release in 2024. As we all know from the demo of the game, the two classes that all players love and use are Reaper and Ranger. When it comes to who is weaker, the Ranger class is definitely lacking.

Hence, we have come up with the best Ranger builds in Backpack Battles that will actually help you build your rank and make the class a good class to play with. Keep on reading to find out what these builds are and how to obtain them.

Best Ranger Builds in Backpack Battles

While the Ranger class is not exactly the first choice when a player starts playing Backpack Battles, some items special to the class are undefeated. Hence, playing into the (limited) strengths of the class, here are some of the best Ranger builds in Backpack Battles that you can try out.

Double Bow and Blade Build

This is one of the most simple yet effective builds you can have for the Ranger class. It does lots of damage in an efficient way without draining too much stamina. Here are the essential items you need in your inventory for the build:

  • 2 Ranged Weapons/Bows: Choose any two of the four available Bows for the Ranger class, which are given as follows:
    • Bow and Arrow – When hit by the opponent’s weapon, the Bow and Arrow gains +1 damage. (Cost: 8 Gold)
    • Belladonna’s Whisperer – For every 9 Damage that a Star weapon does, on the next attack, the Belladonna’s Whisperer inflicts +1 Poison damage to the opponent. It deals +0.5 damage per Poison debuff stack on the opponent as well. You need to craft this Bow by combining the Bow and Arrow with the Pestilence Flask. (Cost: 8+7 Gold)
    • Fortuna’s Grace – At the start of the battle, you gain 2 Luck buff stacks. After a Star weapon does a crit i.e. critical hit, on the next attack the Fortuna’s Grace hits twice. You need to craft this Bow by combining the Bow and Arrow with two Lucky Clovers. (Cost: 8+2+2 Gold)
    • Tusk Piercer – At the start of the battle, you gain 2 Spike buff stacks. After a Star weapon hits, deal 1 Spike damage to the opponent and on the next attack the Tusk Piercer deals +8 damage. You need to craft this Bow by combining the Bow and Arrow with the Walrus Tusk. (Cost: 8+4 Gold)
  • Piercing Arrow: Star weapons deal +30% more critical damage and they also remove 5 Shield buff stacks when the opponent is hit. When an item activates during the round, you have a 40% chance of gaining 1 Luck. (Cost: 10 Gold)
  • Ripsaw Blade: When you hit with the blade, remove 2 Spike buff stacks and 2 Regeneration buff stacks from your opponent. (Cost: 10 Gold)
  • Health Potion: When your Health drops below 50% during a battle, consume the potion and instantly heal 11 HP alongside cleansing +4 Poison debuff stacks. (Cost: 4 Gold)
  • Box of Riches (Optional): Generate low-quality gemstones to combine with other items. (Cost: 5 Gold)

Other than these items, you can mix and match up your inventory however you’d like to.

This is another simple build but it is a lot more time consuming and complex to build. However, it does an insane amount of damage, taking the opponent down in mere seconds. Here are the essential items you need in your inventory for the build:

  • Claws of Attack: Attack 5% faster for every Spike buff stack you get. After every 4 hits you do, gain 1 Empower. You need to craft this Melee weapon by combining the Gloves of Haste with the Walrus Tusk. (Cost: 4+4 Gold)
  • 7x Lucky Clover: Gain 1 Luck buff stack at the start of the battle. Having 7 of them in your inventory will allow you to instantly gain +7 Luck at the start of the battle. (Cost: 2 Gold)
  • 2x Strong Stone Skin Potion: When you have a minimum of 45 Block or Shield power, you consume the potion and convert 15 Health into 30 Block or Shield power. (Cost: 6 Gold)
  • 2x Mana Potion: When the Mana you used or your Health drops below 50%, consume the potion and gain 4 Mana along with 15 maximum Health. (Cost: 4+2 Gold)
  • Djinn Lamp: Every 2 seconds from starting the battle, gain 1 Luck, Spike or Mana buff stack based on what you have the least of. When you end up using 7 each of Luck, Spike, Block and Mana Power along with 27 Health, you give your Star weapon +27 Damage.
  • Poison Ivy: Gives you a 5% chance to resist debuffs for each Star Nature item in your inventory. For every Spike you gain, you inflict your opponent with 2 Poison debuff stacks. When your opponent reaches 19 Poison, they take 20% more damage from your hits. (Cost: 10 Gold)

Other than these items, you can mix and match up your inventory however you’d like to.
