MakersPlace is thrilled to sponsor the World of Women Artfest Spring 2023, a seasonal celebration that unites exceptional web3 artists and showcases their creativity. This event, hosted by World of Women, highlights the artistic talent flourishing within Web3.
Each season, coinciding with the Full Moon, the WoW and WoWG families gather to collect art inspired by unique origin stories that define their collective universe. The season’s 15 featured artists act as griots, preserving stories of people, places, and traditions from far-off lands.
Artfest Spring 2023 takes place from May 4th and has been extended through May 25th (in response to the high gas fees in the current market). In addition to Artfest, World of Women and MakersPlace launched an Art Contest open to artists of all skill levels to have the opportunity to showcase their talents and potentially win some incredible prizes!
The Artfest Spring 2023 Art Contest prizes include:
- 1st Place: 2000 USDC
- 2nd Place: 1000 USDC
- Two artists will become next season’s Artfest featured artists
- The Top 10 artists will be featured in an Exhibition on MakersPlace
As part of this partnership, the MakersPlace Curatorial Team which consists of Georgia Andre, Aisha Arif, Caitlin Cruickshank and Parin Heidari, will participate in the Artfest Spring 2023 Art Contest Top 10 selection. We will provide Top 10 contest winners with a free mint on MakersPlace and onboarding support!
In addition to the Top 10 Art Contest winners exhibition in June, MakersPlace plans to work with the World of Women team to onboard Artfest Artist Alumni for future opportunities and creative exhibitions. As the Full Moon rises, the submission period for the Artfest Spring 2023 Art Contest has come to an end, and the judging process has begun. To view the Art Contest submissions search on Twitter using the hashtag: #ArtfestSpring2023.
