During the most recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo Switch Online members received quite a treat. Any gamer who holds a Nintendo Switch Online membership can now access a select title of Nintendo Switch Online Gameboy Games. Exactly what games are included?
Nostalgia Trip
At the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo decided to reveal a deal that old and new Nintendo fans should enjoy. Starting now any subscription holder of Nintendo Online will receive a library of classical Nintendo titles. Not just any titles but a collection of Gameboy games. Gameboy games and Gameboy Advance games. The following games included are as shown:
Game Boy Games
- Tetris
- Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX
- Super Mario Land 2
- Metroid 2: Return of Samus
- The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
- The Pokemon Trading Card Game
- More to be added in the future
Gameboy Advance Games
- Super Mario Bros 3
- WarioWare Inc
- KuruKuruKuruin
- Mario Kart Super Circuit
- Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga
- Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
- More to be added in the future
All the Game Boy titles shown are ready to play and are available with the basic Nintendo Switch Online Subscription and the Expansion Pass. Those who were hoping to play the classic Gameboy Advance games don’t have it as easy. Only members who hold a Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass can have a go at the Gameboy Advance games.
While these were the only Gameboy and Gameboy Advanced titles shown, Nintendo has stated that more titles will be added in the future. Gamer’s favorites still have a chance to make an appearance.
