Việc tạo ra công nghệ hỗ trợ việc gửi và nhận sẽ phức tạp hơn và do đó tốn kém hơn. Và nếu ngân hàng không được thiết lập để gửi thanh toán theo thời gian thực trên FedNow thì ngân hàng đó cũng không thể nhận được yêu cầu thanh toán. Và đây là điểm bán hàng quan trọng của FedNow và RTP.

Vì vậy, các ngân hàng chủ yếu đứng ngoài chờ đợi cho đến khi buộc phải di chuyển do kỳ vọng của khách hàng. Cuối cùng, tất cả các ngân hàng lớn và khu vực sẽ tham gia và sau đó sẽ có áp lực buộc những ngân hàng khác phải di chuyển.

Nhưng có lẽ chúng ta còn phải mất nhiều năm nữa mới đến điểm bùng phát đó.
