It looks like a tiny villa from the street but there is more to this 1920s Torrensville home than meets the eye.

A huge renovation has breathed new life into the once two-bedroom home at 77 West St – it is now modern throughout and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

It is attracting good interest ahead of its auction, with LJ Hooker Mile End-Woodville agent Thanasi Mantopoulos saying about 50 groups came to take a look at its first open inspection.

“It’s quite rare to find something like this,” he said.

“It’s pretty unique because you don’t get many with three bathrooms, and being renovated and ready is a huge advantage at the moment.

“There’s good demand for move-in-ready homes.”

The home, which is on a 426sq m block, started as a two-bedroom house with a lean-to when the owners bought it in 2018.

Following a two-year passion project, they transformed it into a two-storey family residence.

The main bedroom with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe are at the front of the home, followed by a lounge room, a bathroom, then an open kitchen, dining and living space overlooking an alfresco area in the backyard.

Upstairs is dedicated to the three additional bedrooms, a living space and a shared bathroom.

Other highlights include a four-person spa in the backyard, a built-in barbecue kitchen in the alfresco area, as well as a large laundry and pantry that has access to the tandem carport.

Mr Mantopoulos said the owners put a lot of effort into making it the “perfect family home”.

“They’ve made sure that they’ve put their own personal touch on the home,” he said.

“It’s got a flexible floorplan, multiple living areas and it maximises space.”

The property will go to auction at 9am on October 28.

According to PropTrack data, Torrensville’s median house price is $980,000 and it has climbed 14.8 per cent over the past year.
