The Venetian Relocates and Expands Its Iconic Poker Room

Date:

A Las Vegas landmark casino and entertainment resort, The Venetian, has announced that it will relocate and expand its poker room still this summer. The completion of expansion will reportedly see one of the most popular poker rooms in Las Vegas evolving into the largest poker room in the entertainment capital of the world.

Expanding to the 14,000 square-foot Space:

As reported by Las Vegas Review-Journal (LVRJ), the Venetian will move its poker room from the resort’s casino floor to the Grand Canal Shoppes, a shopping district connecting the Venetian resort with the sister property Palazzo. The new location will reportedly spread across 14,000 square feet of space to expand from 35 to 50 tables. The officials hope that the Las Vegas-largest poker room in the city incorporating a range of state-of-the-art amenities and features will “push the boundaries of modern poker forward,” as LVRJ reports.

Wide Range of Amenities:

According to the source, these amenities will reflect the resort’s continued awareness of player requirements to include features like dedicated bathrooms, a self-serve Coca-Cola soda fountain, as well as coffee, USB and USB-C charging ports at every seat in the poker room. The access to online ordering, sports betting and other services from a player’s seat will be much easier, LVRJ reports. Tommy LaRosa, director of poker operations, reportedly said: “It’s going to be a completely different look and a completely different feel. It’s going to be modern, it’s going to be clean, and it’s just going to be unique. It’s going to be a one-of-a-kind space.”

As reported, LaRosa also said that the new poker room location in the shopping area will facilitate quick access to the Palazzo self-parking garage and the adjacent catering facilities. In addition, LVRJ reports that the new location will keep the room clear from smoke and noise of the gaming floor.

Dedicated Streaming Room Feature:

The same source reports that the Venetian’s new poker room will include a dedicated streaming room, an up-to-date facility for players to engage in vlogging sessions and stream the most popular tournament series and cash games.  “What these streams can do is welcome people, make them feel comfortable and make them want to get out and try it right,” LaRosa reportedly said. ”That’s what we hope — that they see the Venetian poker room as part of those vlogs, that they want to experience exactly what those vloggers are doing, and be a part of a part of what we’re offering here at The Venetian.”

Expected to Launch in Summer 2024:

The new poker room will reportedly be opened in the summer of 2024. It will be then that the resort’s current room will transfer its operations and, as expected, the title of the city’s most popular poker place to the Grand Canal Shoppes location. As LVRJ reports, the Venetian is optimistic about the prospects. “It’s not often that a company makes this kind of investment into poker,” LaRosa reportedly said. “So this is very exciting, and it says something about the belief the team has in our players who support our room.”
