Back when arcades were all the rage, we spent way too much money playing The House of the Dead and its sequel.
Unfortunately light gun games have gone the way of the Dodo since then, but that hasn’t stopped MegaPixel Studio from remaking the zombie-blasting classic for Switch. The House of the Dead: Remake takes the original game, gives it a visual makeover, and adds a whole host of new features to hopefully make it better than ever before. And Switch gamers won’t have to wait too long to go hands-on with it.
Publisher Forever Entertainment has today announced that The House of the Dead: Remake will launch on 7th April, with pre-orders going live on 31st March. It’ll no doubt come as great news to those who fondly remember the original game, but with new features such as photo mode, achievements, a new game mode, and an armoury with unlockable weapons, it should attract newcomers too.

We certainly can’t wait to see how this remake holds up. And if it’s good, we hope The House of the Dead 2 also gets the same treatment. Check out the new trailer for the game below.
