New Star GP is coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC

It’s lights out and away we go. Or at least it will be this March for those behind the wheel of New Star GP on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC. Yep, the release date is coming.

First announced back in mid-2023 as it revved up for a Steam Early Access grid slot, New Star GP has now been confirmed to launch in full come March 2024. And it’ll be doing so on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.

A New Star racer

As the name may suggest, it comes from New Star Games, as they look to bring their retro-styled racer to the masses. Fast, exciting, simple to play, if you’re in the market for a new racer, one that contains a surprising amount of depth and detail, New Star GP should be on your watch list.

In fact, New Star GP is super deep. There’s the Career Mode which will take you through the glory years of the 1980’s. All before taking on decades of racing. Car upgrades and a support team will help you through. And then there’s also the Championship Mode, as well as split-screen fun to enjoy.

Slapped with tons of customisation, New Star GP will let you mess around with multiple body shells, tech packs and more. You’ll also find tons of cosmetics for your drivers too, and car liveries and sponsorships.

Super deep racing thrills and a New Star GP release date?

But it’s perhaps in the inclusion of off-track events, news stories and the plethora of events to play where this one will excite. 176 unique events are in place, taking us across time trials, checkpoint races, elimination events and Grand Prix. 45 drivers will be found taking in that racing, with 17 track locations whisking us around the world.

The most ambitious of games to come out of New Star Games, the Steam Early Access period has seen this one grab much acclaim. Enough to challenge Codemasters and F1 23? Who knows…

Expect to find New Star GP on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC this March. We cannot wait to take to the grid. What about you? Give the trailer below a watch and get into the comments.
