New Call of Duty: Warzone Patch Will Address Out-of-Bounds Exploits

Date:

Raven says they know where the trouble spots are.

call of duty warzoneAfter Verdansk’s Season 3 update, players had identified several spots on the map that can be used to access areas that would normally be out-of-bounds. Raven fixed several of these issues in a patch released last week, but is “continuing to sweep for exploits,” according to a tweet. Raven is also currently investigating an issue preventing PC players from launching Warzone. The studio believes the issue is due to conflicts with some anti-virus software.

It’s an extremely busy time for Warzone. The game recently surpassed 100 million players and Raven has been hiring like crazy to try and keep up with player demand. It’s not just Raven, either. Toys for Bob, the developers behind the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, has also been assigned to work on Warzone following a report of layoffs. Activision has claimed these reports are not true, but the layoffs reports were coming from former Toys for Bob staff, so some layoffs clearly occurred.

All of this was followed by reports that almost every studio at Activision has been assigned to work on Call of Duty. Treyarch, Infinity Ward, and Sledgehammer have been working on their own titles in the series for years, but we know that High Moon Studios, Beenox, Demonware, and Activision Shanghai have been assigned to work on Call of Duty titles in recent years as well.

Call of Duty: Warzone is free-to-play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
